UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem - Live Results and Play-By-Play for PPV Fights

As with every major show, Bloody Elbow will be here to bring you live results, play by play and commentary for UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem. Our live coverage will start with the beginning of the Facebook prelim stream (currently scheduled for 6:50 p.m. ET), continuing through the Spike TV prelim broadcast (9 p.m. ET) and finally through the pay-per-view broadcast (10 p.m. ET) so make sure to make Bloody Elbow your home for this event.

This post will cover live results and thoughts on the PPV broadcast.

Five fights round out the evening's PPV action with the highly anticipated heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem serving as the evening's main event. Lightweights are in action in what should be a great fight as Donald Cerrone faces Nate Diaz. The world's #2 welterweight returns to action when Jon Fitch faces Johny Hendricks. Rounding out the card is a bout between Vladimir Matyushenko and rising talent Alexander Gustafsson and a featherweight bout between Nam Phan and Jim Hettes.

SBN coverage of UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem

Nam Phan vs. Jim Hettes - Round 1 - Head kick by Hettes is blocked and then he charges in and gets a takedown quickly and Phan looks to regain guard and stands up. Hettes drags him back down and starts landing a few short punches. Phan using the cage to wall walk and he's standing but Hettes is still on him and takes him back down. Hettes looking for a one arm guillotine, can't get it and he is blasting away. Phan can't do anything but cover up. Phan turtles up and is surviving but Hettes is just controlling position and is still landing big shots. Phan is finally able to get to his feet. Hettes is looking really tired now though and Phan is looking reasonably fresh. Hettes has him against the cage and lands a beautiful hip toss. Hettes into the full mount now. Elbow by Hettes and now he dives for an arm. Phan defending the armbar but getting hit in the face...a lot. Hettes even landing hard to the body. Hettes blasting away to end the round. 10-8 round for Hettes easy.

Round 2 - Hettes pushes him right into the cage again. Hettes gets a takedown and Phan tries to attack a leg but can't do it. Nam ends up on top after a scramble. They're standing and Hettes with another takedown. Phan uses the cage to stand up. Hettes landing some nice shots in the stand-up. Hettes can't get the hip toss this time so he does it again and this time it works. 10-9 Hettes.

Round 3 - Hettes throws a head kick and working some long punches. Phan with a solid jab. Hettes finally with a takedown. Phan gets up, gets taken right back down. Hettes just grinding away this round. Hettes did briefly have an arm triangle and used it to get to mount. This has been complete and utter domination. Hettes can't get the finish but he mauled him.

Official Scorecards: 30-25, 30-25, 30-26. Jim Hettes wins by unanimous decision.

Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko - Round 1 - Feeling out process early. Front kick to the body by Gustafsson. Gustafsson drops him and starts landing a series of punches that finishes Matyushenko. That did not take long at all. It was a jab that dropped Matyushenko as he jumped in. Alexander Gustafsson wins by TKO (punches), 2:13 Round 1.

Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks - Round 1 - Hendricks catches him flush with a left and it's over! Oh my. That'll do it for Jon Fitch, #2 welterweight in the world. Johny Hendricks wins by TKO (overhand left), 0:12 Round 1.

Donald Cerrone vs. Nate Diaz - Round 1 - They charge at each other and throw punches. Diaz was looking for a takedown and Cerrone defending well. Diaz landing the better punches early on. Right hand by Cerrone. Body kick by Cerrone. Diaz really pushing the pace and landing shots inside. Nice two punch combo by Diaz. Leg kick by Cerrone. Jab by Diaz. Diaz is busting him up now. Cerrone is game but Diaz is just much better on the feet here. 10-9 Diaz.

Round 2 - Cerrone with a leg kick that knocks Diaz down and the're back to battling on the feet. Diaz cracking him some more. This is good fun but Cerrone has to change up his attack here. And Diaz clipping him hard. It's just more of the same as Cerrone remains game and is trying to return fire but is getting outgunned. 10-9 Diaz.

Round 3 - Diaz flips him off before the round. Cerrone is throwing punches but Diaz is landing more and keeping up the pressure. Right hand and a combination by Nate. Diaz posturing and popping him. Cerrone sweeps him to the mat and allows Diaz to stand right back up. Big knee by Cerrone and Diaz fires back well. Good fight and they slug it out to the end. 10-9 Diaz again. They shake hands.

Official Scorecards: 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 Nate Diaz wins by unanimous decision.

Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem - Round 1 - Leg kick from Lesnar early, and another and then a jab. Looping right just misses. Lesnar drops for a single and can't get it. Lesnar has cut Overeem above his eye. Big knee to the body by Overeem. Another hard knee. Those body shots are hurting him badly. Another knee and he's still hurt. Liver kick by Overeem and Lesnar takes a few steps back and takes a knee against the cage, Overeem unloading with punches and that'll do it. Alistair Overeem wins by TKO (liver kick and punches), 2:26 round 1.
