At the UFC 141 press conference Wednesday, Nate Diaz let Donald Cerrone know what he thought of his cowboy hat.

Cerrone is going down. I think Nate will win by submission third round.

i think nate, will get smashed in the first 3 minutes

No way, Nate has only been finished one time in his whole career. Never in the ufc, and I don’t see cowboy subbing Nate and has less of a chance to tko him.

Cerrone has one TKO

This is true. Most of his wins are by submissions, and I don’t honestly see Diaz getting tapped.

A motivated Cowboy
Is a bad, bad man. He whooped Paul Kelly’s ass when he was completely out of the fight mentally due to a recent death to a close loved one. Nate has tried to fire up Cowboy and it’s not a smart thing to do to a guy who notoriously starts off slow and has to get his head in the fight (which was more prevalent in his WEC career than his recent 4-run UFC stint).
He’s 100% mentally prepared and fired up for how many times Nate continues to disrespect him. WAR COWBOY!
Nate doesnt realize that cowboys serve up some mean humble pie

I can't say I'm a fan of how Cerrone presents himself
But the last time he fought pissed off he made Jamie Varner look like an absolute amateur.
Cerrone by decision.
My name isn't Todd.
I sure hope Cerrone rips Nate apart
I expect him to

Big question is what will happen when Cerrone puts on his cowboy hat for the weigh-in staredown.

He’s going to wear a “Fuck Stockton” cowboy hat that he fully expects to hit the floor…then have his normal Tapout one waiting for him after they get separated.

wasn’t Nate recently talking about how he was being unfairly made to look like a badguy?

I do like how a lot of the same people bagging on various fighters for being disrespectful
are _ Diaz fans.

This is a big fight for Nate.
Every time I think he’s crossed a bridge, he loses a fight. If he beats Cowboy I will be very impressed.
I was shocked when he lost to the Korean and MacDonald. I hope he wins.
the Korean
Congratulations on beating ………… the Russian.

There’s no shame in losing to either of those guys particularly MacDonald and especially when Diaz is so much smaller than both of them

Also, a good amount of people thought Diaz beat Kim.

I was so happy when this happened
Was watching the live stream and when they went to face off I thought “man I hope Nate flips his hat off”, and he did just that! Amazing, love it.

Yeah now all the people saying Nate is a big disrespectful meanie can turn around and say the same thing
About Cerrone! If someone tells you there going to “Get in that ass” you have to do something. The funny part about the video is that Dana was so prepared for this he was already pushing them both back by the time Nate’s done knocking off Donald’s hat.
" Its like when I'm right I'm right, when I'm wrong I coulda been right, so I'm still right cause I coulda been wrong, you know, and I'm sorry cause I could be wrong right now, I could be wrong, but I'm right..." Bama
If someone said they were going to "get in my ass," I would be angry too.

Amazing how people fall for this stuff every time
They are hyping their fight. Grow up.
by littlebillywalters on Dec 28, 2011 7:35 PM EST reply actions
Cerrone comes off as a cocky asshole and Nate, well, he is a Diaz. No doubt hyping the fight was presumably a pivotal part in this, but I really don’t think these two like each other all that much.
by savik on Dec 28, 2011 7:53 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
This isn’t Nate hyping the fight.

I don't care about who wins this.
But I wonder WTF is wrong with people. Why do they like the Diaz brothers and hate Jon Jones? Yeah, sure, the Diaz brothers are ‘for real’
They are ‘for real’ assholes. Jon Jones might be manufacturing a persona, but he’s at least TRYING to be a polite guy. What, would you rather hang out with someone trying to be likeable, or someone who’s genuinely a jerk?
Probably the jerk. Because at least he’s honest.

Gotta shake my head on that.
Have you ever worked alongside one of those “I’m an asshole so suck it” types? Give me a guy who is professional and courteous any day, even if that’s not who he really is. No really, I think a lot of you have this weird fantasy that if you’re actually around these people, you’ll appreciate their ‘honesty’ no matter what, up to the point where it’s you they’re being rude to. Still, what you think is what you think…
There’s nothing worse than a fake motherfucker. If the guys an asshole at least you know what to expect. Fake asses go whatever way the wind blows.
by Inspectorxr5 on Dec 28, 2011 8:40 PM EST via mobile up reply actions 1 recs
the inspector has it
not agreeing with this is like saying ur a fake who doesn’t know how to handle people who are assholes.
'if you don't have humility as a fighter, fighting will bring humility to you...'
I'm with you
Why people respect someone for being a dick aka “Being real”, and dislike someone who tries to be respectful, and polite instead of a dick because “they are being fake”…
That is ridiculous to me.
Former K-1 Level Predictions Team>> BE Civil War Season 1 Champs!
When they are being rude or blunt with me I get to act the same towards them, which is an entertaining shift from small talk if I’m at work. But I see Paul Daley as the guy you’re describing and love him for it, I see Diaz as the “the worlds out to get me” guy.
"He's like Elvis in Korea! They love him there." - Mike Goldberg on Denis Kang
Polite doesn’t win fans in the hardcore MMA fanworld. Jon Jones could donate a kidney to save a child’s life while Nick/Nate could curbstomp some guy for just looking at them wrong while acting like petulant thugs and guess who would be raged over?
Hell, there were a couple of guys that were all over Urijah for shaving his head in support of his sister who was in a serious accident. Like he was some pretentious superficial douchebag for doing it.
Nice comment, Cowboy

Diaz by sub. He will stay outside with his reach and jab, jab, jab him to death until he is ready to die

Here's an interesting stat
Donald will have fought 5 times this year in the UFC after Friday, Bendo fought 3 times this year and in his next is fighting for the title and Pettis has some serious catching up to do fighting only twice this year going 1-1.

Here is my take on it.
Henderson-Better fights, beating Jim Miller, and Guida
Cowboy-Is the new company man as he has taken 3 of those four fights on short notice
Pettis-Overrated fighter who won a very close fight to Henderson (Who chose to neglect his wrestling until the later rounds, to try and show case his stand up) with that crazy kick off the cage.
