Last year
A superfight between the two would determine the best heavyweight in the world. This year we are pondering both fighters retirement.
Still, people ask if some champions will ever be beaten like the whole landscape of mma doesn’t change in a year or so.
Benson fighting for the belt while the dude (Pettis) who beat him just a year ago fights in the opening. Favorite story coming out of this year.
Could Brock or Fedor retire after this last fight? Maybe.
Brock could also win, fight Dos Santos and become champion again in less than a year.
Fedor could also win, realize his legacy isn’t over yet, drop M1 and come back stronger than ever.
Anything can happen.
I was more thinking
that Overeem’s career coming to the UFC could be synonymous with Fedor going to Stikeforce.
Just Breed!

Fedor was on top for a whole era and gave us some of the best and most exciting and exhilarating moments in the sports history.
Brock is 5-2.

If Brock loses then he could fight middle of the pack guys for 2 more years and settle into a gate keeper position and still be a hell of a draw… BUT he would still demand top dollar other wise he could just got to WWE and do a Dwayne Johnson schedule and make Big $.

I think what many people are wondering is if Brock would settle for fighting in the middle of the pack or as a gate keeper. Does he have the passion for the sport to keep fighting if he doesn’t believe he is 1-2 fights away from a shot at the title. Even from the countdown show he was talking about how great a time he was having just living on his farm in Canada. He is a very competitive guy so he may get restless and want to keep coming back if there is a compelling offer.
Man his name is the The Rock. No one knows who Dwayne Johnson is.

You did :)
and I’m sure The WWE payroll Dept. and The Rock’s Accountant know who Dwanye Johnson is.

I don’t think either are real close to retirement. M1 thinks they can make money off of Fedor, so they will squeeze that until it is bled dry. Zuffa knows that they can make money off of brock, and I think that being a UFC fighter is easier than being in the WWE for brock lesnar. I’m not saying mma is “harder” than pro wrestling, but for brock to make money in the wwe he needs to be on the road and do 200+ shows a year. He would much rather spend his time shooting animals and hanging out in the woods, training for a few months at a time, and fighting and dealing with the media for a few days a year.
If Lesnar gets brutalized, then I think he retires. I think the same thing with Fedor.
