One of the more anticipated bouts at UFC on Fox 2 has been scrapped due to injury, and a Chicago-area fighter has been forced off the card as well. Luckily, the UFC was able to find a suitable replacement for one of them at least. MMA Fighting has the news:
Paul Sass and Eddie Wineland recently suffered injuries and have been removed from the undercard of the Jan. 28 UFC on FOX 2 event in Chicago, the UFC announced Monday evening.
In for Sass against Evan Dunham will be Nik Lentz (pictured). Meanwhile, a new opponent for Johnny Bedford is to be announced.
After going undefeated in his first seven bouts in the UFC (five wins, a draw and a no-contest), Lentz was finally legitimately defeated at UFC 140 earlier this month when he dropped a unanimous decision to Mark Bocek. Dunham bounced back from two losses in a row with a win over Shamar Bailey at UFC Fight Night 25 back in September. The bout is still scheduled for the undercard.

Can't stand Lentz
His fights are some of the most boring in the UFC; then, he has the audacity to criticize Volkman for doing to him what he has attempted to do to every opponent that didn’t beat on him.

Nik Lentz is like Tim Tebow
He started his career at the highest level winning, much to the annoyance of most followers, and then we find out he’s not nearly as good as we think once he faces high-level competition.

I think Nik Lentz is going to get worked. Which is fine, because him pretending he won the Bocek fight was horrible.

Oh so true.
It drove me crazy. It’s not like he was Miguel Torres and sweeping and throwing up sub attempts all night. He went for a couple guillotines and spent the whole night trying to get his guard back. What’s even more maddening is that Lentz does the same thing to other guys all the time.
Hopefully Lentz gets brutalized and I don’t have to see him in the UFC anymore.
