UFC President Dana White released his first video blog for UFC 141 fight week on Tuesday and promises there will be a lot more coming as the build increases for Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem on Friday.
The near 10-minute clip is solely focused on the backstage happenings from UFC 140, something these vlogs have been doing more of in recent months. Some highlights:
-
After his quick KO loss at the hands of Igor Pokrajac, Krzysztof Soszynski said, "It's my last MMA fight….I'm done. That's a (expletive) way to go out." He didn't know the date following the KO but was joking with Pokrajac about splitting a Knockout Of The Night bonus with him. That award, however, went to Chan Sung Jung.
- Walel Watson was shown completely dumbstruck as to how he lost a split decision to Yves Jabouin. "The one time I left it in the judges' hands and I paid for it," he said.
- Tito Ortiz wrapping his own hands and saying post-fight that he didn't feel any ribs crack.
- The Nogueira brothers and Lyoto Machida all warming up in the same locker room. There was no post-fight footage of the infamous arm break but one of Frank Mir's cornermen told Mir afterward that, "He wasn't going to tap. It's ok."
- "The Situation" from MTV's Jersey Shore posing with Jon Jones post-fight.
