Nog's KO was probably the most emotional of the year.
You have no soul if you weren’t yelling and freaking out when he did that.

I am more impressed by Machidas front kick, than Silvas.
Too bad Silva landed it first. Machidas looks much nastier though.
"Here we are with Seraldo Babalu, you did an awesome job, saw why you’re a black belt in jiu-jitsu, getting an awesome submission there, I want to tell me what you see, let’s go ahead and see by the fight, what you saw, in the ring." - Tito (the Head) Ortiz - Great Commentator, or Greatest Commentator.

My boss just made a great point-
I was leaning toward Machida’s kick as more impressive, until he pointed out the difference in level of opposition between the two fights. Even if we get Silva out of the picture altogether and pretend that Machida KO’d both guys, with Belfort having moved up to 205 to receive his boot to the face, the win over Belfort would be the bigger deal.

The glass jawed 47 year old Couture vs a usually iron jawed Belfort.....
Anderson Silva’s Ko was better.
Also plus points for originality

I know the quality of opponent is better, and Silvas happened first.
Im just saying, Machidas looked much worse. I mean that kick was NASTY.

The Crane Kick
I like Lyoto’s Crane Kick better it looked more creative and devastating. Didn’t Randy Couture need to get reconstructive surgery?
Yeah he got some teeth knocked out from it
Spent 5 hours gettin them fixed
exactly what I am saying above.
That kick was unbelievable. I had much more of a reaction to that one than to Silvas, even though it came after Silva had already landed it.

I voted for Kongo
because of the context of knockout. The rocky-like comeback to win makes the ko better even if it isn’t as technically beautiful as some of the others that were listed.

Kongo
Barry was all like “I’m so sick of waking up in trainyards.”
Business as Usual has a STACKED team. I mean, we could win with just me, but you know.

Why? I saw the fight but don’t remember it all that well. It just didn’t stick out.

Actually...
My coach just won the MFC’s award for KO of the year.

“Lynn made himself known in a monstrous way with one of the all-time great knockouts in MFC history. Lynn stepped forward with missile-like elbow strike that crumpled Demarce flat on his back. "
Awesome
That dude deserved that just for the hair!
