TUF 14 Finale Preview: 5 Reasons to Watch

There are plenty of things to do on a Saturday night. However, most don’t involve watching two men locked inside of a cage attempting to punch, kick, knee, and choke their way to victory. In reality, though, few things match the excitement.

A middleweight grudge match between "TUF" season 14 coaches, Michael "The Count" Bisping and Jason "Mayhem" Miller, will headline the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. The five-round middleweight contest should be filled with excitement and with an undercard featuring season 13 winner Tony Ferguson and featherweight and bantamweight finals, the card is shaping up to deliver some great fights.

If you weren’t planning on tuning in already, here are five reasons why you should invite some friends over, order a few pizzas, grab a couple beers, and tune in to The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale this Saturday night, live and FREE on Spike TV.

5. Michael Bisping Looks To Silence "Mayhem"
After spending six weeks as coach on "The Ultimate Fighter" season 14, Michael Bisping gets his opportunity to shut the mouth of Jason "Mayhem" Miller in the main event on Saturday night. Miller has taunted, ridiculed and mocked Bisping in front of a national audience throughout the coarse of the season, and Bisping is itching to get in the cage to beat Miller up.

A winner of "The Ultimate Fighter" in his own right, Bisping was on the show for the third time -once as a contestant, twice as a coach- with his stint as a coach this season.

Bisping has a huge experience advantage over Miller in terms of UFC fights. The Brit has 14 octagon appearances opposed to Miller's one, which occurred in 2005. "Mayhem" is known for his loudmouth, don't-hold-anything-back personality. To anyone who watched the show, it is clear Miller has Bisping fired up for the fight. Bisping usually receives heat for a back-peddle, counter-punching orientated strategy, but with a fire lit beneath him, we could see best performance of the Manchester natives career.

4. The Last UFC Show On Spike TV
After a long relationship that started off in 2005 with the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter", The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale will be the last fight card in the UFC-Spike TV contract. While there are expected to be "Spike TV Prelims" prior to the UFC 140 and UFC 141 broadcasts later this month, Saturday will signify the last time an "Ultimate Fighter" is crowned on the network that put it all on the line for the UFC.

After over six years and 47 events, the UFC will say goodbye to Spike. If you only watch Spike for UFC programming, to tune in Saturday night to get your fix of "1000 Ways to Die", "Deadliest Warrior" and "Blue Mountain State" commercials between rounds as you may not see them for a long time.

3. Jason "Mayhem" Miller Returns To The UFC
Six months after signing with the UFC and after coaching "The Ultimate Fighter" opposite Michael Bisping, former Strikeforce middleweight title challenger Jason "Mayhem" Miller will finally return to the UFC octagon after nearly six years competing abroad. As explained in this weeks "Fighter of the Week", the American in one of the most entertaining personalities in the sport and has spend the last few years traveling the world, sharing the ring or cage with some of the best competition out there.

Throughout the show, "Mayhem" and Bisping got under each other’s skin on more than one occasion and have developed some not so pleasant feelings towards one another. Pranks, physical altercation and a tremendous amount of trash talk have come from both men. However, it was Miller who recently said he wants to "take the rest" of Bisping's soul by knocking the Brit out or securing a submission.

"Mayhem" delights fans with his creative entrances, magnetic personality and entertaining fighting style. If you have never seen him compete before, be sure to tune in on Saturday night.

2. Ultimate Fighter History Will Be Made
After 13 seasons of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show in the books, there are not too many "firsts" left to make. The show has had it all from unpredictable moments to unlikely winners, but two significant milestones in "TUF" history still have a spot in history.

For the first time ever, bantamweight (135) and featherweight (145) winners will be crowned. Season 14 was the first time fighters from those divisions have been featured since the UFC picked up the lighter weight classes at the beginning of 2011. T.J. Dillashaw and John Dodson will vie for the bantamweight crown while Diego Brandao and Dennis Bermudez scrap to represent the first featherweight winner.

The stakes are high; all four men desperately want the victory after spending six grueling weeks in the house. Only two can walk away victorious. If the lighter weight classes weren't exciting enough as is, the extra motivation of winning the show makes the fights a can't miss.

1. It's Free!
The list of big names on the card is minimal, but Saturday's UFC event from Las Vegas is legit. The first bantamweight and featherweight "TUF" winners will be crowned, Tony Ferguson will try to take out another tough veteran in Yves Edwards and regardless of it you dig the match up or not, the main event has contendership implications in the middleweight division.

Two of the world's best middleweights square off, only one can move closer to a UFC middleweight title opportunity. Just as the UFC did when the came on to the network, they will leave with a "TUF" Finale, live and FREE on Spike TV.
