Here is my opinion:
Honestly I like Dana White. I believe he really does care about pushing MMA into the right direction and he seems to have a good strategy to do so. But I don't think he should be the PR guy for the UFC. I also don't think he should have the power to simply fire someone on a whim. There should be a voting system, a unified code of conduct, and parallel rules for everyone across the league.
Dana should not have the ability to fire Torres but keep Griffin for example. This kind of stuff wouldn't happen in other professional sports.
Now, I'm not even one of the people who is offended by these jokes. Fuck it, I find most of them amusing, and I find them to be what they're meant to be: jokes. But you need to be alignment with who you're going to punish and why. It can't simply be because you feel like firing a person one day, and feel like being a nice guy on another.
But, Evans and Griffin shouldn't be able to run off the mouth, while another mans contract is pulled right under him.
Finally, I see this Dana White twitter reply, insinuating an individual was raped in prison because he misspelled "assassination"
What the fuck Dana? How can a man who runs an organization this large be so unfair? Should we create a list of who can make sexual jokes and who can't? Torres got his joke from TV, and I find it very unfair he was punished and is going to lose substantial income because of it. If Dana likes to make jokes like this, then his employees should be able to as well. Stand behind all the jokes, or throw everyone out to the curb, Mr. White.
