Jon Jones is too damn good for his own good.

There was a time when Dana White made a bold claim saying his champions fought 3 times a year. That was a stretch, but Jon Jones is helping bring up that average. He wasn't the champion at the time but he knew he was, he just wasn't crowned yet. He fought 4 times this past year. He won the title and then proceeded to defend it twice. I don't think a belt has ever been that actively defended. I think next year he will probably fight at least 3 times as long as he doesn't get injured. His freak genetics are just aiding his crazy recovery it seems. But I say he is "too damn good for his own good" because he's about 2.5 fights away from clearing out the LHW division.

He will fight most likely Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson, and unless he is felled by cardiac arrest moments before entering the octagon he will probably crush them like everyone else he's faced. I said 2.5 fights because those two are definite and there is a chance that Gustaffson could become a title contender but that isn't certain yet. Or maybe somehow King Mo earns a shot, or miraculously Forrest Griffin gets a title shot... in any case at most there are 3 fights left for him in the division at this time. Then what?
