Do we have any idea why Overeem may be pulled from the fight?
I heard it may have to do with PED’s. When will we know?

I read something on here about the decision being made today at some meeting.
I sure hope Overeem isn’t pulled from this fight. I really don’t care to see Mir V Lesnar again…
There are nothing but rumors from lole now,
And as far as I know, the rumors are based on Overeem being on the NSAC agenda…which is pretty standard when applying for a license…so far no ‘solid’ evidence has come out to suggest Overeem is in trouble.
Exactly. Jardine and Matyushenko are on the agenda too, maybe we can start some rumors about them being on PED’s too?
The agenda clearly denotes
that the Matyushenko and Jardine issues are related to them turning 35 years old.

I hope you are correct. Not really interested in seeing Mir Lesnar again. Overeem on the other hand is like Christmas all over again 5 days later.

I have read
that Overeem is back in Holland, tending to his ill mother…

I don’t see Frank Mir as being red hot at all.
He may have beaten Big Nog in a hail mary but he looked like garbage up until that. The recent Cro Cop fight is one of the worst of all time and his pedestrian performance against Roy Nelson are still pretty fresh in my mind.
That's not the point
Lesnar and Mir are perceived as having a legit animosity you wouldn’t see outside of Evans-Jones or Liddell-Ortiz. They book that fight and sit back and just listen to the sadistic and revenge murder fantasy sound bytes from both men. There wouldn’t be any problem selling that.
he's red hot
in terms of people seeing the arm break video. Please remember casual fans get very little MMA information. If they see a video of Mir snapping Nog’s arm, that’s big doings and hundreds of thousands of people have seen that video online in the last two days. Most of them have zero idea he was getting his ass whipped minutes earlier.

A good match to get BROCKLESNAR back to his face smashing old self.

He may beat Mir but I don’t think he will ever be the feared beast he once was. Everybody saw him curl up when getting punched.

I would rather see Overeem beat up someone before fighting Lesnar. Roy Nelson comes to mind.
Did you see the size of that chicken?
I’d like to have a better idea of how good he actually is, but if I was the UFC there’s no way I would risk him losing or looking unimpressive against a guy like Nelson. Given how expensive he is, you gotta start getting returns on him right away, even if it’s by putting Lesnar over for a big title fight.

give him cain
fresh new fight plus it will look good mir is coming off some name wins
They're coming to get you Barbara
seeing as this is all rumor
imagine if dana lost overeem brock..and gsp allin a matter of 2 weeks..eep
They're coming to get you Barbara
bottom line is simple
We all wanna see Brock vs. Overeem obviously. Short term though Brock Mir 3 is better cuz it could hit 1 million buys. However long term I don’t think its good business. If Brock beats overeem, then he beat a legitimate top level striker etc. And is in a title fight with jds which will be huge. If overeem beats lesnar then he will he a huge star among casuals and his fight against jds will draw big. Just my 2 cents

Post illness Brock is probably pretty damn similar to pre illness Brock. I would see the fight going much like the second one.

It's hard to imagine it would be bigger
Not just because Brock’s stock is diminished, but because UFC 100 was always going to be a special event unto itself it’ll be hard to top any time soon. UFC 200 might not even top it. UFC 1000? You bet your ass. I expect that to be headlined by Chuck Liddell Jr vs Wanderlei Silva Jr.

no
There isn’t enough time to PROPERLY promote it. It would be thrown together at the last second, and Mir wouldn’t have even trained for it. Properly done-aka something not out together on three weeks notice-this would be absolutely huge
