UFC 140 marked a rematch to Frank Mir's greatest win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Following the loss, Nogueira told media that he was hurt entering the fight, fighting a bout with staph infection. For years, Mir has had to defend his win. Tonight he was able to prove that he was the better fighter becoming the first man to submit Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira ever.
Nogueira established his boxing early on and was able to stumble Mir with a combination that put him on queer street. Mir survived and locked in a kimura. Nogueira attempted to roll through but he was unable to break Frank MIr's grim. The fight ended with a chilling moment with Mir cranking Nogueira's arm, breaking it in the center of the cage. The referee was forced to stop the fight before Mir could do any more damage to Big Nog.
