Jared Hamman was the first to attack landing a leg kick on Constantinos Philippou. Philippou landed a punch combination that landed cleanly. Constantino landed some dirty boxing against the fence which stood Hamman straight up. Philippou landed several punches, the last of which dropped Hamman. Costantinos swarmed and grabbed a rear nake choke. Hamman survived but Philippou continued to land his punches which dropped Hamman several times. Finally Hamman was hit with a right hook that dropped him awkwardly. John McCarthy was forced to jump in and stop the fight to stop Hamman from taking anymore punishment.

Constantinos Philippou entered the fight 1-1 in the UFC and 8-2 in his career. He is now 9-2 and has finished five fights by knockout. Jared Hamman entered the fight 2-2 in the UFC and 13-3 in his career.
