For many a year, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has longed to make their organization an international one. So, what countries produce the best fighters? BV is on it. For the entire year (thus far), I've logged every fight in the UFC that countries have battled against each other.
A few footnotes:
1. I've discarded every fight that happened between countrymen. What's the point for this exercise? All fights are between a fighter from Country A and fighter from Country B.
2. Please don't be a douche about heritage specifics. I know this guy was technically born here, but fights out of here, even though he has family here, but he immigrated because his wife is from here, although his training camp is here, etc... Enough. It's a free column!
3. Draws and no-contests are discarded.
4. A country must have at least five fights in the UFC this year. As great a year as Alexander Gustaffson or Dennis Siver had this year, I need a little more representation.
So here are the current standings for the UFC World Cup this year!
4-1 (.800)
15-9 (.625)
3-2 (.600)
29-21 (.580)
3-3 (.500)
10-12 (.455)
57-69 (.452)
4-10 (.286)
