It seems like just about every event we make fun of announcers for their inconsistencies, biases, and flat out stupidity. A day doesn't go by where I don't see someone making a post in Mike Goldberg Yoda style on this site. We probably spend no less than 40% of Strikeforce events making fun of Mauro Ranallo and the crew.
On a more positive note, what are some of the best calls our sport has seen? Every sport has them, from baseball's "The Giants won the pennant! The Giants won the pennant!" or "I don't believe what I just saw!" to football's "He did it! He did it! Flutie did it!" or my personal favorite "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!" in the 1980 Olympic hockey semifinals.
We don't really have many, since all of the calls seem to be "OHHHH" by Joe Rogan or "THE BIG KIBOSH" or "GOOD NIGHT IRENE" by Michael Schiavello or various loud, incoherent yelling and general ass-hattery by the Strikeforce crew. What are some of your favorites? Surprisingly, I like Goldberg's call of Jon Jones finish of Shogun, "Jon Jones is the youngest champion in UFC history!"
