Better choice for me...
Since I usually don’t drop money on boxing…..would be the free title fight :)

Best choice-
Watch good fights on Facebook, free Heavyweight UFC title fight, then find & watch Pacquiao/ Marquez 3 online somewhere (unless it turns out to be a shitty fight).
Xtreme Couture- The best never rest! The girl in my av is Kari Sweets (you're welcome).

UFC on Fox has the HW champ fighting the true #1 contender, it's an evenly matched fight.
Pacquiao is not fighting the number one contender in his weight class. Marquez is a HUGE underdog. Cain vs. JDS is much more competitive. The undercard for Pacquiao vs. Marquez should be great though.
#1 priority for me is UFC's debut on Fox
While I plan to see the Pacquiao fight somehow, I’m not as excited for it as I am Velasquez vs Dos Santos
Pacquiao vs. Marquez will be similar to evans vs ortiz 2. Marquez still has the name value but is too old to be much of a threat to pacman. If he presses the fight he will get knocked out if he doesnt pacman will let him hang aroud and beat on him for twelve rounds. Now you can all watch Ufc on fox and see a true evenly matched fight

Even though Marquez Is old he hasn’t really shown any signs of slowing down in my opinion. If anything pac’s last performance against Mosley showed signs of his skills diminishing… Just my opinion

Only boxing fight I am interested in is Pacquiao vs Mayweather. That is all.

Even if they cost exactly the same
I’d pick JDS-Cain, and I actually like boxing. This might be the most intriguing HW matchup in the history of the UFC, and its on free television. Just nuts. JDS and Cain are both in their athletic primes, and have put themselves miles above the rest of the division in terms of talent and accomplishments. I have no idea what is going to happen, but I have a really hard time seeing this fight be boring.
Conversely, I think there’s a really good chance that circa 2011 PacMan pretty thoroughly outclasses Marquez, despite their history of close fights.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
Hmm should I pay fifty bucks to watch two guys punch each other while wearing pillows on their hands, or should I watch two of the most talented fighters in the world square off in the most exciting sport on the planet for free on network television?
Sorry boxing does not do it for me anymore. I keep thinking “Great, they are really good at punching. Let’s see them stop the double and defend a rear naked choke.”
Stop the double?
I went to school to learn that shit!

Those pillows only weigh twice as much as tiny mma gloves.

Mma gloves…4 ounces…. Boxing gloves….8 ounces.

The my dad is bigger than your dad argument…
Watch them both, The boxing fight will not be starting before the UFC show is over.
I’ll watch both. I’m tired of this MMA vs Boxing debate. I like to watch good fights. I won’t waste my time watching a MMA or Boxing fight that I don’t feel is worth it.

Um, is this ACTUALLY a question?
Pay for boxing vs get a MMA title for free
I wouldn’t watch the f’cking boxing match if it was free, let alone drop cash to see it.
This is a non-issue…especially when you pose this question to the MMA COMMUNITY!
To the MMA fanbase OR to someone who isn’t a fan of either, the FREE option is painfully obvious.
No articles or breakdowns need to be written.

Calm down there bud.. Alot of mma fans are also boxing fans, just because you aren’t doesn’t mean that it’s a “non issue”..I love how mma fans hate ignorant people who have only seen a few fights yet criticize the sport yet they turn around and do the same thing to boxing.

I'm not criticizing boxing
Just illustrating my complete lack of interest in it.
I would assume people frequenting a site like ‘MMA Nation’ or ‘Bloody Elbow’…MMA sites, would likely either be bigger MMA fans then they are boxing fans, or they like both evenly
When I like two things evenly, and I’m trying to decide between the two, one is making a free debut on network TV with a title fight and the other is running a pay per view…it is not a tough choice to make at all.
Boxing fans pick the boxing PPV
MMA fans pick the free MMA fight
Fans of both who are cheapos pick the free MMA fight
People who don’t really care much for either but end up watching one will likely default to the free MMA fight
People who are unaware of both completely have a better chance of stumbling across the MMA figh while channel surfing then they do of stumbling across themselves purchasing the boxing PPV.
Just being painfully honest here.
"You got Floyd Mayweather making 25 million dollars...he can't stop the double leg." - Nick Diaz
Well first of all they are airing at different times so no one is going to have to pick between the two. I love mma and boxing both equally. I really mean that. Imagine if gsp fought diazo on ppv while at the same time Cain and Jr were fighting on fox. See as an mma fan that should make you understand what I, a boxing and mma fan would feel when asked to pick between the two, know what I mean? The free fight is not necessarily always going to be the first choice.

Fair enough
But 50 bucks is a hell of a tie breaker, in my mind.
"You got Floyd Mayweather making 25 million dollars...he can't stop the double leg." - Nick Diaz
well, either way lol
But it’s all good…If you like both, I can understand your situation.
But from what I figure, most people who are big time MMA fans to the point of going to MMA Nation aren’t exactly big boxing fans…especially to drop 60 bucks on a boxing card vs seeing the UFC debut on Network TV for free.
Basically, most the audiance Snowden is writing for is likely not even thinking twice about which card they will watch.
"You got Floyd Mayweather making 25 million dollars...he can't stop the double leg." - Nick Diaz
I thought the UFC was going to be on first
then viewers can switch to Marquez vs. Pacquiao III
I mean its not like anyone watches the undercards for boxing.
Wich fights were stinkers? The only fights PAC has ever not been exciting in were clottey and Mosley, I mean there is a reason PAC is so popular, he is super aggressive and exciting.

JMM got robbed against Pac arguably twice and Pac ducked him for years before the second fight when he thought JMM was done
Suprise, surprise he won that fight but got robbed.
Now magaically when JMm is 38 years old and forced to fight 3 weight classes over his natural weight class, Pac finally feels safe enough to meet him.
yes, Floyd did fight JMM at the same weight which was a travesty too.
All I can say is I’m rooting for JMm to get his revenge. To bad it’s not going to happen :/
