As Spike TV's relationship with the UFC winds down towards expiration at the end of the year, the channel will still broadcast a prelim special for UFC 141, but UFC 140, which takes place in two weeks, was left off their schedule. Fortunately for fans, ION Television will step in and broadcast four live preliminary fights on the UFC 140 card in Toronto.
Heavy.com was the first to report the broadcast plans, and the four featured bouts will be: Igor Pokrajac vs. Krzysztof Soszynski, Jared Hamman vs. Constantinos Philippou, John Makdessi vs. Dennis Hallman, and Yves Jabouin vs. Walel Watson. The ION broadcast will kick off live at 7PM ET on December 10th, two hours before the pay per view main card at 9PM ET. The UFC has previously aired prelim fights on ION for UFC 125 and UFC 127.
