Report: Mike Russow vs. Jon Olav Einemo Added to UFC on Fox 2

Mike Chiapetta at MMAFighting.com brings word of a heavyweight addition to the next UFC on Fox card, scheduled for January 28th in Chicago. Chicago native, Mike Russow, will face Norwegian grappling specialist, Jon Olav Einemo, according to the report:
Einemo is back with the promotion and will take on Mike Russow as part of the upcoming UFC on FOX 2 card on January 28, MMA Fighting has learned. Sources confirmed that both sides have verbally agreed to the bout.
As Chiapetta mentions, Einemo is "back" after the UFC resolved their dispute with fighters managed by the Golden Glory team in Amsterdam. Other Golden Glory fighters, including Alistair Overeem and Marloes Coenen, were dropped by Zuffa several months ago after UFC president Dana White expressed displeasure with the way that managers were handling the fighters' finances, but the turmoil was cleared up soon after, and the fighters welcomed back into the Zuffa fold.
Russow, who is still employed as an officer in the Chicago Police Department, was supposed to face Dave Herman back in October, but the bout was scrapped after Herman tested positive for marijuana in a pre-fight screening. Russow hasn't fought since TKOing Jon Madsen in March, and hasn't lost a fight since early 2007.

The only other fight confirmed for the UFC on Fox 2 card right now is a bantamweight match-up between Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Wineland, but a Chael Sonnen-Mark Munoz scrap is heavily rumored.

Interesting fight I think though I doubt it will be a barnburner. If Russow tries to take JOE down he will probably get subbed though I believe he relies more on his top game. I think Einemo looked pretty good against Herman considering how long it had been since he last fought before

I can't think of a more final and effective superman punch in mma
I know GSP has some good ones, but he’s never knocked someone out with one before.
Gonzaga's superman punch KO of Kevin Jordan was fucking sweet
unlike the rest of that fight.

russow is undefeated in ufc and he beat two of the top prospects, duffee and madsen. and now he gets JOE?
JOE took 5 years off before he got beat up by herman. i feel bad for russow

Why is Einemo even in the UFC?
His fight before Herman was against James Thompson in 2006. James Thompson! Then he loses to Herman and gets another shot. Interesting.

He lost to Herman in a FOTN. I dont know if you saw UFC 135 but I have no problem with the UFC keeping on heavyweights that can at least put on entertaining fights.
