Eric Prindle Headed Back to Doctor Days After Low Blow at Bellator 59

The Eric Prindle story has not exactly been a fun one to follow. After being kicked in the groin by Thiago Santos, Prindle was unable to continue on in the fight and it was ruled a no contest.

Prindle then tweeted out a picture of the "affected area" commenting on some testicular swelling and it appears his issues have continued. When asked about specifics of the injury, Prindle tweeted:

@luisjgomez the doc said theirs no torsion but I have to back to the doc. See if the swelling will go down ...my right boy is dubble size

Prindle suggested to MMA Junkie that the kick may not have been accidental on the part of Santos:

"I don't know how that was accidental, though," Prindle said. "I think Santos used the vale-tudo rules. When he was fighting Josh (Burns, a season-five heavyweight tournament competitor), he hit Josh in the back of the head. He hit Neil Grove in the back of the head a couple of times.

"In vale-tudo rules, anything goes. If it was a street fight, I would do the same thing. I don't think he necessarily did it on purpose. I think he saw my legs were out, he saw an opening, and he took it."
