In the rush to crown Michael Bisping a middleweight contender it seems many are sleeping on the fact he has to actually win a fight this Saturday. Kid Nate asks, "What If Mayhem Miller Beats Michael Bisping At UFC's Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale?" Read it at MMA Nation.

There's a rush to call Bisping a middleweight contender?
Funny, I would have never noticed. Mayhem by RNC.

Maybe I don't watch enough MMA
But I was shocked to see Mayhem as the underdog when the odds came out.

@Rob Young Bisping pretty much fails at everything he does. His fights are as entertaining as watching rugby or cricket. And he actually believes in his own hype. But Bisping has never been submitted before. So RNC or any sub is not likely.
Even though I’d like see Miller put a “Bully Beatdown” on Bisping. Miller must have a lot of ring rust after hosting two reality TV shows.
This fight has Bisping by UD written all over it.
I was wondering when I was gonna see an article on this.
More overshadowed than 139.

What rush??
I have barely heard anyone talk about Bisping getting a title shot other than Bisping and of course hes going to talk himself up just like every other fighter tries to.
I see this fight as pretty even Ive been a Mayhem fan for years hes well rounded, Bispings well rounded. Bisping is better on the feet and Mayhem on the ground. Bispings ground defence is very good, Mayhem isnt known for having a weak chin for Bisping to exploit.
What Im saying is this ones going to decision and im edging towards Bisping but Mayhem winning wont be a shock for most MMA fans!
I hope he does this to Arianny at the weigh-ins....

But I’m laughing.

You say "what if" as if Miller may not win the thing
honestly, i only like miller because he is one of the few fighters that uses knees in his ground game. underutilized move.

if Miller wins

I am willing to test myself against the toughest fighters in the world, in front of hundreds of thousands or even millions of fans, over and over again. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but I always come to fight. I've been doing this for the past fourteen years, and I have at least a few more strong years left in me. What have you done in the past fourteen years other than act like a moron on this forum and hang on Anderson's nuts? - Dan Henderson.
A lot of people are still sleeping on Miller imo
He had 3 losses early in his career, but over the last 22 fights, spanning 8+ years, he has lost to GSP at WW (UD back when GSP finished almost everyone…look it up, he really did do that at one time), to Trigg in a title fight when a slip left him open to soccer kicks in a fight he was winning (his only TKO loss ever), via UD to Jacare (on the ground almost the entire fight) and to Shields via UD (would have finished him in R3 with 20 more seconds).
There is no chance Bisping KO/TKOs him, and little chance his TDD keeps him on his feet. Both have shown high level/elite cardio, but I have a tough time seeing a legit path to victory for Bisping here…

Who's he beaten that's any good though?
Bisping has only lost to Henderson, Wand, and Rashad. Ever. With the Wand and Rashad fights being fairly close.
Read: Toblerone Jones
He won that fight

Oh I agree,
Bisping is fairly underrated. I don’t think the Wand fight was that close though, iirc he was nearly finished at the end of 2 different rounds.
I also think that the guys Miller has lost to (GSP, Shields or Jacare) would all win fairly one-sided fights with Bisping.
There is no way I would put money on Bisping though, I think this is a bad match-up for him…we’ll find out soon enough at least…
