Could Rampage Jackson be the Middleweight champ?

I know, that sounds completely crazy, but hear me out.

This is no jab at Bader, but I think we can all agree that Jackson wins their upcoming fight.  In fact, he has the ability to beat any of the other guys in the light heavyweight division, not named Jon Jones.  Granted, those fights would be more competitive than the Bader fight.

So, put yourself in Jackson's shoes.  You've fought all of the big names in your division, you've held belts, you've won plenty and you've lost your fair share.  But what does the future hold for you? Do you make another(probably fruitless) run at the LHW strap, fight many of the same men along the way?  Do you merely try to put on entertaining fights and try to avenge a few losses along the way?  Do you become an elite gatekeeper, who tests the hungry young lions hoping to make it into the upper echelon of the division?  Perhaps their is another option.

This might sound unlikely considering Page's past difficulties making 205 lbs, but honestly, I think he could be able to make 185.  Jackson isn't a particularly larger light heavyweight.  When you consider guys like Sonnen, Okami and Belfort are all able to make 185, it doesn't seem all that implausible that a determined Rampage could as well.  And Jackson's skill set and experience could definitely put him in a position to beat any of the elite of that division.  His solid boxing, wrestling base, power in both hands and practically indestructible chin would all serve him very well in a fight with Silva, should that become a reality.

I know it's crazy, but crazier things have happened.  If nothing else, it would be interesting to see and there are plenty of fun match ups for him.  What do you think?
