Fedor: Thank God that God’s will was done, win or lose, God rules, I thank Monson, God rules.
On a serious note, Fedor is a class act in the way he credits Fabricio Werdum for making him change his strategy when dealing with someone with a strong submission game.

Watching Fedor fight smart is a welcome change
Emelianenko was a beast in Pride because of the way he intelligently dissected people, then applied a winning strategy. You don’t go 30-0 without some cold, calculating fight IQ.
I enjoyed Fedor’s fight, even if Monson has crappy stand up, he is tough to finish.
Fedor could have gone for it but I dont blame him for his strategy. he still packs good power, and his striking was tight. Also, his fluent transition from striking to grapplin defense was as smooth as ever. he was tossing Monson up all night long.

Look at that gut
Get in shape and get serious man… :’(

Did you watch the fight?
He looked better than he has in a while. The gut was there, but it looked like he packed on some muscle as well.
He just looked dense, I dunno about muscular
But his gut is turning into a front butt in that pic.

I don’t know, I thought he looked sharper in the Hendo fight, until he made the fundamental mistake of not securing position before trying to GnP Hendo. I think he didn’t look in shape. He was pretty slim in the Hendo fight for Fedor standards.

Keep the shorts, lose the muffin tops
Fighting in board shorts is really uncomfortable for some, I hate training in them personally
