Two fights make up the Spike TV prelim broadcast. Bantamweight prospects Michael McDonald and Alex Soto meet in the first bout on the broadcast in what should be a good bout. In the second fight Ryan Bader looks to get back on the winning track as he faces Jason Brilz.
Make sure to come back during the event and share your thoughts as the event goes down.
The Spike broadcast is live.
Alex Soto vs. Michael McDonald - Round 1 - Soto with a jab. McDonald with a nice counter right hand. Leg kick by Soto and he eats a nice combo from McDonald. Soto is very reckless here. Right hand by McDonald drops Soto! Soto survives, he's back to his feet but McDonald is coming forward again and now unloading against the cage. Soto drops again and he is out cold this time, crumpled against the fence. Michael McDonald wins by KO (punches), 0:56 of round 1.
Ryan Bader vs. Jason Brilz - Round 1 - Bader throwing the overhand right but not getting in. Bader gets a left hook in a bit and now a jab. Right hand and Brilz crumbles and falls face first into the canvas. That'll do it. Ryan Bader wins by KO (overhand right), 1:17 of round 1.
