According to a tweet by Siyar Bahadurzada, he finally has a fight in the UFC. The Afghan/Dutch fighter has been tied to Strikeforce for a while but never actually fought for them, and eventually signed a UFC contract in late September. He'll be making his debut at UFC 142 in Brazil against Erick Silva on January 14th:
Bahadurzada is currently on a six-fight winning streak, most recently winning the United Glory World Series welterweight tournament in May. He has held the Shooto Light Heavyweight (183 lb.) championship, and is a member of the famed Golden Glory team. Most recently he's been training in the US with Mark Munoz and Jason "Mayhem" Miller at Reign Training Center in California. He is also an assistant coach of Miller's on this season of the Ultimate Fighter.
Silva was the # 3-ranked welterweight prospect on last years BE scouting report, and made quite an impact in his UFC debut by finishing Luis Ramos in just 40 seconds with punches. He is currently on a nine-fight unbeaten streak.
The UFC's Brazil office has confirmed the matchup via Twitter.
