PrintI just got home from an out of state day trip and dove directly into my dvr. Junior Dos Santos won and that made me happy. Ben Saunders lost and that made me sad.
Ben, we wont turn our backs on you just because you got beat by Lima. That dude is legit and there is no shame in that. Thanks for being so interactive with us during your Bellator run and I hope you stick around and say whats up from time to time.

I am interested to hear your thoughts on fighting so regularly? Given the majority of guys fight 3 maybe 4 times per year how was it to reel off 3 fights in a couple of months?
With such a short timeframe do you try and hit your peak for each fight or just maintain a high level for the 8 weeks and stay as close to peak as possible?

I picked Lima to win but have a hard time seeing Ben lose. Not many fighters take the time out to be a part of the blog world and he certainly did. BE is his home and I hope more fighters realize how many fans they can get by interacting.
I see this loss as a win for Ben though. His fast paced style and wins should get him right back in the UFC. Blessing in disguise if I must say so.

Lima and Saunders are both savages, going into the fight I knew somebody was getting blasted one way or another. Barring a return to the UFC anytime soon, I don’t doubt that Saunders will be a key player in Bellator’s title picture despite losing in the finals. How about Saunders vs. Hieron to determine the next non-tournament winning title challenger?
