UFC serves up only one fight...

Okay, I may not be a UFC expert, or a television analyst, but the UFC gets to put on a show on network tv and instead of putting on a show they gave us a half hour of Dana White and Brock Lesnar, than Dos Santos landing a heavy overhand right and thats the show.

Now I'm not making comparisons or anything but if Strikeforce on CBS can put up a full card what was UFC trying to do? What was the statement they wanted to make? Millions of people were going to tune in to what could have been a super bowl halftime show. Why no undercard? They couldn't grab two lightweights who would go out and throw bombs for 3 rounds to get the crowd all worked up at home?

Instead for people at home who aren't deep into MMA they tuned in and got a Dana White interview. If people were watching it and they were just looking for a door into Mixed Martial Arts, maybe this is what they needed to get them interested, but was this really what the UFC wanted to use as a fishing hook to reel in new fans? I hope this is just a first show on FOX to break open the door and not something that the UFC will continue doing, with an hour show for one fight.

I don't wave the UFC banner as much as I love just all MMA, but I can hope for something a little bigger.
