Fair enough

But I did suggest him mouthing it in I the post he did about voting for the shirts. I would not be shocked if I wasn’t the first one…but I hadn’t seen anyone prior suggest it.

hahaha sweet ben!

congrats on your win too!!

I am willing to test myself against the toughest fighters in the world, in front of hundreds of thousands or even millions of fans, over and over again. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but I always come to fight. I've been doing this for the past fourteen years, and I have at least a few more strong years left in me. What have you done in the past fourteen years other than act like a moron on this forum and hang on Anderson's nuts? - Dan Henderson.

Simply amazing. Also the win was nice too I’m sure.

Judging on the Bellator Live discussion thread no one was watching him say that

Bunch of hypocrites. “Yeah like Saunders should give us a shoutout and say lets mutherfukers WAR KILLA B” – yet everyone choses to watch UFC instead, even after the first six fights ended in boring decisions (making it 8 out of 11 fights). Just to compare, Bellator had only one fight out of ten going to a decision, Ben fucking Saunders showing everyone his dangerous guard, six awesome submissions and this fucking KO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpe6lB__xF4

Stop bragging about “WAR SAUNDERS” if you can’t even bring yourself to watch his fight live on free television.

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 10:01 AM EDT reply actions

That's right, nothing wrong with that

What’s wrong for me is people complaining on the UFC 136 livethread about boring decisions and the first six fights being not entertaining enough.
If lower level MMA genereally ends in more finishes and the card I’m currently watching ends in boring unentertaining decisions I might want to sneek into the other card, given it’s just as free as the card I’m currently watching.
I’m just not a fan of people bragging about “full support for killa b” and thinking how funny/cool/awesome it would be for Ben Saunders to give them a live shoutout to the BE crew when they can’t even bother to watch it live.
That’s like saying “Yeah I fully support my college football team, GO WHATEVERS” while the Whatevers are wearing shirts with your name on them but you don’t catch it because you’re watching the NFL instead because it’s “the bigger event”.

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 10:52 AM EDT up reply actions

If you're a fan of an up and coming boxer, and you support and watch his fights all the time,

do you think people should take it against you if Pacquiao was in the area, and you decided to watch that live instead, then just dvr the other for later?

and even if the undercard was pretty boring, why would anyone suddenly want to skip watching the 2 title fights between the best fighters in the world?

by Anton Tabuena on Oct 9, 2011 10:59 AM EDT up reply actions

Exactly

I’d rather all of the prelims go to decision and get a set of awesome main card fights then vice versa.

Lauzon’s huge upset, Phan and Garcia’s war, Sonnen’s return, a game Florian coming up short, Edgar’s awesome comeback to get revenge.

The key matchups delivered in a pretty big way…except maybe Aldo-Florian

Again, no problem in doing that. I’d tell that boxer ‘hey, Pacquiao is fighting that night, I wish you the best of luck for your fight but I’ll propably be watching the big PPV’. I wouldn’t tell the boxer ‘hey, walk out with a shirt with my name on it, give me a shoutout on national TV, I’ll make sure to catch that live!’.

I think you keep on misunderstanding me, once again, no shame in sticking to the PPV eveb after boring

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 3:26 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

Even after a boring undercard. I just don’t like people constantly whining about the lack of entertainment.
Imagine being at a buffet. There are two tables. Both are free. Both have a main menu and a dessert. You don’t have to stick to either table. The one you’re trying first is the table with food from a well known cook. But today his food doesn’t taste well. It tastes dull. Imagine a guy standing next to the table, eating everything there is, complaining about its poor taste afterwards. Said guy doesn’t even try the food from the other table – it’s just as free and people tell him it tastes great but it’s made from a lesser known cook. Wouldn’t you call that guy stupid for complaining about the bad food without even bothering to try the other? He could still eat the dessert from his table..

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 3:33 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

But one is a pay per view, the other is free

Also…we weren’t paying to watch the undercard fights, those were free, so if they were boring, no biggie…the main card was exciting and all kinds of awesome, we paid for that.

Not sure I understand what you are saying.

Both Bellator's and UFC's undercard were free for everyone to see

One undcard had only decisions, the other one (almost) only knockouts/submissions.

In the UFC livethread many people were bitching about the free fights being boring, they could have stopped complaining and opened Bellator’s undercard in a different tab and they would’ve gotten plenty exciting fights.

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 5:02 PM EDT up reply actions

Okay, fair enough

I believe I misinterpreted the point you were making

Regarding people missing the Saunders fight and watching the PPV instead.

Well considering you can't predict the future...

how would you know that the lesser known cook’s food is any good? and on a side note I personally would be more honored if someone took the time to watch my fight after it happened because that shows the person really wanted to see the fight.

by DCJon. on Oct 9, 2011 4:24 PM EDT up reply actions

You can’t predict whether the other cook’s food is any good. Of course not. But you could at least try it. If “decisions” are bad foods, the well known cook (the UFC) had only bad food on there table and the lesser known cook (Bellator) had only good food (stoppages) with one exception on his table.
I just dislike the guy standing at the known cooks table, eating all the bad food, complaining about it tasting bad without even trying something from the other table – the food is just as free.

by blutspender on Oct 9, 2011 5:04 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree

I don’t know everyone here personally, but I honestly doubt anyone dvrs all the mma they absolutely can, I know I certainly don’t. I didn’t watch Bellator live last weekend but I did DVR it because I was interested in Saunders and the other WW tournament fight.

by mikedh on Oct 12, 2011 9:34 PM EDT up reply actions

I DVR'd it and made sure to watch it after the event

And if Ben had been up any time but during the middle of a great title fight, I probably would have flipped stations.

I was the person responsible for the Bellator 53 liveblog and I did see the Lets Mutherfukers, as well as the walkout hoodie (You Got Knocked the F@#k Out).

Chose not to immortalize them in the blog itself, as it seemed slightly out of place there. The comments would have been a better place for those notes, but there was essentially nobody there with me.

This is a ridiculous statement

I totally watched it live and swore to everybody around me he said it .. right then and there

I simply never post or am even near a cpu when I have the fights on
I especially usually never go into “Bellator Live Threads”

but i’ll tell you .. later
I couldnt wait to get on and talk about it

you cant judge if people actually watched it because nothing was mentioned in the Live thread
thats like saying

I didnt watch the UFC event and witnessed its action because i didnt immediately come on here and say “OMFG DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT!?!”
