Steve Bosse has less business fighting than Kimbo
And Bosse’s promoter makes Gary Shaw look like Scott Coker. I don’t think anyone should forget the Strikebox or whatever it was called fiasco in Montreal a few years ago.

I don't get how the Strike Box thing has any relevance?
The show tried to implement rules that would lead to more standup action but the Commission turned it down. Thompson took Bosse down which was unexpected and the fans flipped out. That doesn’t make the promoter shady or anything. Should he have gone out before hand and informed people the rules didn’t go through it would have avoided the situation but I chalk that up to inexperience.
It was Shady for various reasons
- The promoter of the whole show was also Bosse’s manager. Pure conflict of interest.
- The original rules presented allowed throws and takedowns, but no ground work or submissions
- Yves Lavigne said to Thompson backstage that the rules didn’t get passed and that he would be reffing an MMA fight
- The Strikebox rules ended up a supposed gentleman’s agreement but would not be enforced by the referees.
- Thompson took Bosse down (which he was allowed to) and Bosse tried to guillotine choke him (according to Thompson)
- Thompson fearing he was going to get screwed as he felt he had against Kimbo started striking on the ground.
- Bosse’s manager / promoter tried to put the whole blame on Thompson even though it was his guy that broke the ‘rules’ first.
- Fuck Bosse and his manager.

You'd think
that after 22 professional MMA fights, that Alexander would have developed the cardio to go three rounds. He and Baroni need to fight like… 10 1-minute rounds or something.

Good to see
Houston has worked on his cardio since leaving the UFC
What was Bosse doing there after the ref tried to send him to the neutral side twice?
