Machida will awaken the dragon ...

Unforgettably it will be the dragon inside Jon Jones...

I have been on the Machida bandwagon ever since his KO at the buzzer vs Thiago Silva ...

I had to go back and re-watch every fight I could on to gain a further appreciation of my hero!

I suppose I enjoy Machida so much because If i could be any fighter, I think I would emulate Lyoto the most. His style may be boring to some due to his point fight background in karate(boring first few fights in the ufc) but I believe he has adapted it well lately in the octagon.

Ok, enough background. Back to the point at hand.

I believe Machida will come in and perhaps steal the first 2 rounds of this championship fight and Jon Jones will go into round 3 realizing if he doesn't take some bold chances he will be outpointed by a fighter with superior footwork and striking.

side note:vs. shogun he worked him on the ground first to later "show off" his striking against a gas'd shogun and looked very dominate in all phases but the truth is, if it were a Muy thai fight, Jon Jones would have lost that fight.

So Jones enters round 3 with the realization he has lost the first 2 rounds by points because he was too cautious early and couldn't clinch up with the elusive Machida [ most over used word to describe Lyoto ever]. He begins to cut off angles and throws heavy leather. The man no one thought had KO power finishes Machida with a vicious hook to the body then temple and ground and pounds him out much like shogun did.

So while I hope Machida wins since he is my favorite figther, the turth is, Jones will find a way and move on to Rashard or Henderson in Dragon like fashion.
