why do fighters insist on training together
when they know their going to be fighting each other down the line!?
Sometimes they might just accept it in a 'business is business' type of way
I mean, Mizugaki cannot for the life of him win 2 fights in a row under Zuffa. He’s clearly not liking the sort of ceiling he’s hit, and wants to improve any way he can…who better to train with then the champ?
Is Cruz on the level where he isn’t willing to train with a guy in his weight class? Why not, if he can help the guy succeed a little, why not?
Sure, they MIGHT fight down the road…but they’ll both be at the same advantage/disadvantage.
I mean, Phil Davis put it well, he had trained with the Nogs, he had that experience, but so did they…at the end of the day he said he was glad that he didn’t deny himself the opportunity to train with them and learn from them…despite fighting lil Nog.

yea all true and very good points,
but then there’s team alpha male who have Faber, mendes, benavidez who are all towards the top end of the top10! And did i hear somewhere faber and jorgensen wont fight aswell?
Well, Mendes is 45 while Faber and Benavidez are 35
But I don’t know…those guys are part of the same team…and while I understand them not fighting, I don’t like it.
I don’t believe this is Mizugaki becoming a permanent member of Cruz’s team…and if it is, one would still think that they are cool with fighting each other down the road.
