The last fight added to the UFC 140 card will be a middleweight battle featuring guys that likely picked up the biggest wins of their careers in their last bouts. The card takes place December 10th in Toronto. UFC.com shares the info:
Verbal agreements are in for a brawling fan's dream bout pitting hard-hitting Constantinos Philippou versus two-time Fight of the Night winner Jared "The Messenger" Hamman in Toronto. The middleweight matchup rounds out the UFC 140 fight card.
Hamman made his middleweight debut at UFC on Versus 5 in August where he picked up a TKO victory over C.B. Dollaway in the second round. Meanwhile, Philippou was promoted to the main card of UFC 133 at the last minute to replace Alessio Sakara against Jorge Rivera, and squeaked out an entertaining split-decision victory. The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card of the event, and is the only middleweight bout on the card. The event will be headlined by a UFC light heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida.
