Upon hearing the news that GSP had pulled out of his title fight with a knee injury, Josh Koscheck asked Dana white if he could step in on 11 days notice and face Carlos Condit. Due to the fact that Condit's wrestling is crap, and that Josh Koscheck is never going to get another crack at GSP, Dana opted to have Condit sit out and await GSP's return. Good move on the UFC's part. Koscheck vs Condit is a far to risky fight for Dana's #1 contender, the natural born killer. But the point has been made- Josh Koscheck is willing to fight at 137. With the card lacking in serious star power, why not let him?
- UFC 138 is a free show in England.
- Papi Abedi is a relatively unknown fighter making his debut.
- Thiago Alves is a former title challenger and a well known commodity at welterweight.
Can you pick which fact doesn't belong with the others? Yeah, me too.
Find a more suitable replacement for Papi, seeing as how the UFC has made it evident that they no longer truly care about the UK market, and match up Thiago with Koscheck. I'd love to see the rematch, Koscheck is willing to fight, and the bout would add some desperately needed name power to UFC 137. Come on Joe Silva, save the day!
