Well, they did have the easiest takedowns in 2010 until it was updated.

I only played the game for about 6 hours, but

didnt I hear that Machida had some kind of unblockable or uncounterable trip/throw?

Isn’t that the case in real life too? ;)

That was a huge overstatement

If you used one stick, you could easily block the takedown. Like, really easily.

Business as Usual has a STACKED team. I mean, we could win with just me, but you know.

Yeah, if you weren’t already holding back on the right stick to stuff a takedown, Machida would automatically get the takedown without a “struggle state” where you could potentially stuff it.

big nogs

clinch trip to side control in 09 was the best takedown.

yea but also in terms of unbeatable in 2010 lyoto, jds, and werdum, and a few others all had that trip takedown that was pretty much unstoppable unless u were blocking the shot before they even shoot

Really happy he got the cover.

Hearing him speak of being on the cover...

…reminds me of Alan Goes in “The Last Wrestlers”. The author spends time with him and Alan talks about his perhaps atypical (for a jitsuka) upbringing in a favela, and how he’s now made it /and is in a videogame/.

When I think of knees, I still think of Mark Coleman.

If you managed Silva, you’d do the same thing. I know I would.

I like how he seems to understand and speak pretty good English here. But when he’s being interviewed before or after a fight, he likes to play dumb and pretend he can’t. So all questions then have to be filtered through Ed “The A-hole” Soares.
