I just don’t get what’s frustrating…they’re all great fighters at the top of the game. Challengers need to step up and prove that the champs are not champs.

Why didn't I know about this stuff in '95?

gsp needs to pull an edgar and bump up in weight

frankie is a 145er and yet is not only fighting at 155 but is the champ..and he is a small 155er too

the reason i didnt say silva needs to bump up is bc jones JUST became champ he has to clear it out first

Fine! I'll go build my own lunar lander, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the lunar lander and the blackjack.

Well that and Silva has played with the LHWs and molested them both times. To end his career, I’d like to see silva leave MW after he beats Sonnen and one more new challenger, take the LHW belt, then retire.

I’ll have what he’s having.

Looking at this photo, Silva and GSP look pretty similar. Jones looks like a giant. I don’t blame Silva for not wanting Jones. The guy is ridiculously fast for his size and reach, and the way he improves, if Silva got taken down by Sonnen, he’s going to get easily taken down by Jones. Jones would have a massive size advantage over him and slaughter him with elbows from full guard. Not much I can imagine Silva doing, and I think Silva knows it.

GSP on the other hand. Silva knows that, although GSP can probably get him down, there is basically no risk of damage as GSP is so small and SIlva such strong long arms and active legs, GSP’s top game would not only be nullified, he’d be at a really high risk of submission due to Silva’s quick submissions and size advantage. And at the very worst, Silva could get back to his feet without too much difficulty, where the advantage would be his. In this case, no one gains by moving up because the cards happen to be stacked against the smaller fighter.
I guess if GSP bulked up enough it could be interesting, but I still think it’s stacked against him.
