Lavar Arrington vs. BJ Penn, James Toney & Mike Tyson!?

Sitting in DC Metro traffic this evening, when I switched on 106.7 the fan FM, home of Luke Thomas' MMANation radio program, as well as the Lavar and Dukes evening drive time sports radio program. Co host Chad Dukes, an MMA fan, and former ProBowl NFL Linebacker Lavar Arrington were talking about mma, boxing and fighting in general.

During the portion that I heard, Lavar claimed he would handle BJ Penn, Defeat James Toney, and willing step into the ring with a prime Mike Tyson, assuming he was also in his prime.

My initial reaction was shock, thinking that if Lavar fought Toney, he'd get KO'd, and if he fought BJ, he'd get his surgically repaired knees destroyed. After a bit of prodding, he admitted that he wouldn't expect to defeat Tyson, but that he would still go through with it, because of his inability to back down. This made my shock change to speculation.

What would a talent the caliber of Lavar Arrington look like if he tried his hand at MMA. It is no secret that only the most physically gifted and explosive elite athletes end up in the NFL. What would that same level of talent, if guided into the fight game, actually look like? Wikipedia(don't stone me, it's just a fan post) lists lavar at 6'3", 253lbs. That is a rock solid HW frame. Suppose that he flunked out of Penn State, and never got enough tape to make the NFL...How successful would Lavar have been if he went into MMA after college?

And, just because I need to hear from the BE community about it, how do you think modern day Lavar would fare against modern day BJ Penn, modern day(read fat)James Toney and modern day(read still KTFO Dangerous)Mike Tyson?

I put in a poll about BJ, because to me that the most likely fight Lavar could actually win, based only on the massive size & strength difference, but I am curious about everyone's opinion regarding the entire issue.
