So I read the interesting Ben Fowlkes article on the cost of being a UFC fan and the resulting comments.
Personally, the idea of a hardcore fan, (as defined by anyone who frequents this forum on a daily or weekly basis, we can all agree on that?) not watching every event is foreign to me. I always figured that everyone here watched every event. It seems that this might not be the case, so I thought I'd do a poll to find out just how many UFC events BE members watch.
I'm just curious for the raw numbers. It doesn't matter to me if you steal the streams, go out to bars, watch with friends or all by yourself.
I say that because, to me, the cost of being a UFC fan for the time being is pretty much irrelevant and I'm not rich by a long stretch. I mean, even if you had to pay for every event by yourself it would work out to about $1.50 per day per year and most people spend 3x that on coffee, which is about as necessary to life as UFC. Having said that, if the cost does factor into your decision to watch or not, feel free to mention it, although keep in mind that you may be required to turn in your hardcore fan card if it does.
I watch every event and have since about UFC 70 or so. I want to find out if this is the norm or if I'm just more hardcore than I thought I was.
