Yeah, his nickname should really be Jason “Gaudy” Reinhardt, for his record has no substance at all. Nevertheless, I will enjoy watching him getting submitted in quick fashion as a curtain jerker.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
I live in Peoria and have never heard of him
besides seeing him on the ufc’s webpage

LOL/Jason Reinhardt
I know they want the Mongolian Wolf to succeed, but I think he’s a lot better than this softball suggests.

Have you guys seen anything from Zhang besides his recent two fights?
by SkeezinSteevin on Jan 7, 2011 10:39 AM EST via mobile reply actions
I've seen his URCC bouts...
wasn’t impressed with his Filipino opponent though, so while I am always gonna root for Zhang, I really wasn’t that impressed.
For what it’s worth, he did very very well on his earlier opponents (including those for LegendFC / Art of War).

Well, considering that the last tomato can they offered up actually beat Zhang,
I don’t see why he should be getting a bump up in competition until he proves he can hang.
seriously,
People have been complaining that he’s getting special favors even before he actually got them… Plus he lost his last bout, so what did people expect? a step up in competition?

This is what I was what I was getting at above…

Maybe it should be indicative that Zhang isn’t a UFC level fighter?

Ummm
Pablo Garza and Danny Downes are NOT cans dude.

Garza was brought in to lose, which he did. Downes is some random who was brought into lose to Horodecki and was kept around to lose to Zhang. The only problem is that he won.
C’mon. This isn’t any different than hauling in Griggs to fight Lashley. Its just that the UFC is doing it and so people have less of a problem with the matchmaking.

It is very different
Because at least these guys are active fighters.
You’re use of the word “can” is a prime example of the ignorance to what the term actual means.

Active fighters can be cans. The definition of can is someone brought in to lose and provide little resistance. In order to build Zhang, Zuffa has sought the sort of fighters they typically ignore or have cut to fight him, which is all but advertising that they want the guy to collect wins. That he hasn’t is self-evident and has apparently brought them back to their original idea of an easy out.
Reinhardt hasn’t fought in three years, is a self professed juicer who admitted using virtually his entire career (along with resulting drug abuse), never beat anyone good, and was exposed on his last step up the ladder.

Garza just ethered Paxaio with a flying knee in round one
And is a well regarded prospect. Downes is a Duke Roufus product, who is 7-1 and only like 24 years old.
You have no respect.

Great for Garza. He moved down to a natural weight and found that he could be a decent fighter there rather than being put in with larger fighters he was expected to lose against on late notice and becoming a gatekeeper. I couldn’t care less who Downes trains with; If you can’t beat Horodecki (the shine of the IFL having long since been taken off by Schultz, Njoukani, and Cerrone), you don’t belong in the UFC. Maybe he can make it in the wildly fluctuating lightweight division should he be able to cut down, but then – see above re: Garza.

Downes faced Horodecki on 2 weeks notice. He was facing a guy with about the triple bouts than him and this was his first time in the big shows. Still, he took Horodecki to the third round.
The boy deserves respect.

yep.
people use the term too loosely these days…. and No, Griggs =/= Garza or Downes

Why is Reinhardt fighting at LW?
I thought he was usually a BW or FW. The UFC has those divisions now so there is no reason for him not to fight in them instead.
This actually makes a ton of sense
There’s a large Asian community in Australia because of immigration and its proximity to places like Indonesia, Japan and China. Sydney is less than a 7 hour flight from Singapore, for example so any rich fans from Asia can easily make the trip over for the event.
Unfortunately they didn’t know he was on the card, and now there are no tickets.

After seeing how Danny Downes utterly dismantled the Mongolian Wolf over three rounds, I don’t really see him having much success in the UFC. It’s too bad, would be cool with a Chinese guy up in the ranks, unfortunately Tie Quan Zhang is probably not that fighter. (no disrespect meant to Danny Downes or mr Wolf)
Losing to Danny Downes is indicative of being the worst fighter on Zuffa's roster

If this is true it means 127 has 12 fights, which means we’re likely looking at an 11:00am start for the first fight, and that’s assuming there’s no plans to do televised prelims. UFC might be pushing it by starting that early, nobody in their main demographic wants to get up early on a Sunday morning plus transport to the venue (and in Sydney in general) is awful.
