Rampage Jackson Responds to "Phony" James Toney
"The only thing that the Fake Mr. T has to do is sign the contract. Rampage is a decent club fighter and if he thinks his club fighting style can match my skills, then he is crazy as hell."HT: RealIrish
"What? Is he mad because I called him an Uncle Tom or because I said Detroit wouldn't accept him? (Laughing) ... Rampage is still an Uncle Tom and I will go on record and say he is not dumb enough to stand and trade with me. Machida almost knocked him out, so what do you think I would do to him."
"Rampage is a black redneck. He better stick to hanging with them white boys and keep my name out of his mouth. I ain't hard to find; sign the contract."

Highly doubt it!
But Rampage was saying that he would fight at heavyweight during his build up for the Machida fight. Plus Randy was basically a LHW when he fought Toney.
Luke Thomas: If Pro Wrestling had a dick, you'd be the balls!
Kid Nate: ...
Catchweight of 210 - 215 would be fine,
although I’m sure Rampage would prefer Toney to be as fat as possible…

He should call out someone outside the ufc
It might not be the pay day he is obviously looking for but I think if he wanted to fight mma again a local promotion would sign him to fight a UFC castoff or something.
Go fight Tim Sylvia, you might just win
I agree – Toney is just shooting way to high hear in hopes of another MMA payday. Which will never ever happen inside the UFC. However I do think he could easily get a nice mid size payday from some mid level org who is looking to put on a cheap PPV like a shine fights,KOTC, RJ JR’s Square Ring productions,Shark Fights, etc.Say what you will a fight between him and Kimbo would be able to sell, make a profit & do alright numbers on a cheap priced PPV.
LMAO
I actually thought that was one of the real trains.

James Toney..
Combat sports’ version of rush limbaugh, or some similarly ignorant sensationalist grabbing for eyeballs. Get out of our collective conciousness, please.
Although I have to say, at least Limbaugh’s listeners have the benefit of understanding more than 10% of the words coming out of his mouth.

I love that analogy,
A black Rush Limbaugh. good stuff. If I didn’t have a desire to watch the best fight the best, I would say book this fight. But, Rampage wins this hands down, no problem round 1 via Brutal KO Elbows on the Ground. James Toney doesnt have a pay day so he has to drum up attention by trolling. He is giving boxing a black eye everytime he opens his mouth. I say Dana signs Toney vs The worst ranked HW on the roster. Then after Toney is humiliated he can enter the Strikeforce HW tourney as an Alternate.

I just think it would be awesome to see page take him down and beat the ever loving hell out of him. Toney just needs to retire from everything forever.

At least Sonnen can fight.
Toney did nothing to Randy.
That said, I still wanna see ‘Page body slam Toney into the earth’s crust.

Not one of Rampage’s finer works. For something that he put out there, I expect better from him. This is only because he has set the bar very high for himself: “(To prepare for Lyoto Machida) I just get some cats, or some chickens, and just lock them in the octagon and I see if I can catch them little tricky bastards.”

"If you want to watch stand up, go watch K-1"
And if you want to watch wrestling....... go watch wrestling.......
This is all strategy for Rampage. He has a choice…. either fight the winner of Bader vs. Jones (Jones), with a win there earning him a title shot, OR, call out and kick James Toneys ass where he doesnt have to worry about cutting weight or training hard. That being said, Im a Rampage fan, and Id love to see him beat the shit out of Toney.
Jackson vs. Jones...
Would be a good look…
Griffin vs. Jackson 2 is always an option…
Jackson vs. Jones…
Would be a good look…
Only if you are a Jones fan…

This would be an absolutely horrible fight to make....
But the trash talk leading up to it would be epic.
Yes, Mr. Rampage, I would like to see some black on black crime.

Couture saved Toney the embarassment by choking him out
I don’t think ’Page would be so nice. Toney would get absolutely obliterated.

Toney vs Sonnen at Idontcareweight.
Keep Firing, Assholes!
Time to put some meat in your pain sandwich.
I don't know...
Rampaged seemed genuinely hurt by Toney’s words. He didn’t even make one joke; about his breath or anything. He called him fat with a really mean sort of inflection then straight up said he wasn’t gonna play games and talk shit. It didn’t sound like Rampage was even thinking about anything MMA related.
It may be manufactured on Toney’s end and I wouldn’t be surprised if Rampage was just playing along, but I don’t think that Rampage is really trying to angle for a UFC fight with Toney. He sounds like a dude who’s friend suddenly started talking bad about him to make a little money. He seems like he’s pretty hurt, like he was betrayed.
Two things you should know about me:
1. I’ve spent lots of time listening to quasi-illiterate, old black dudes argue.
2. I read too far into things.

Lower those sights a bit. Kimbo Slice isn’t in the UFC anymore either, has problems with cutting weight and is too old to pick up any new tricks. I’m sure you both have too much in common not to fight.
I thought we were done with this shit!
The UFC was not in Detroit. And Rampage should have come a little better than that.
Sounds like someone is trying to talk himself into another undeserved payday.
"You stick a microphone in a guy's face and he calls out anybody but the champion, and Joe Silva should fax him a pink slip right then." -- Chael Sonnen.
I hope Rampage..
.. knocks the black off his ass.
That should definitely be his entrance music.
Throw Toney to...
JDS so JDS can get his check and not lose his title shot…
Toney should go fight Minowa in Japan
just to prove that he wants to fight…and, yes, get knee barred
plus, he doesn’t even need to weigh in
Who's the only one here who knows illegal ninja moves from the government?
Christ, I would love to see Rampage destroy Toney. It would definitely be a LOT more brutal than the Couture fight.
