Great news.
This guy is fun to watch.
I hope he’s still the same fighter after this long layoff.
Learn JiuJitsu, it's fun.
Was just gonna say this
I’d prefer that to any of the other guys, or occupying Wanderlei with Stann.

Stann vs Belcher and then
Wandy vs Vitor(after he loses to Andy), Bisping/Rivera vs Nate/akiyama and Maia vs Palhares(if he beats Branch).

In all seriousness
he needs to fight his tattoo artist.

Not to me
Maia would use his grappling superiority to gain positional dominance in many different ways, and then punch him repeatedly in the eye.

If his eye needs resting he shouldn’t come back, no? That’s like discounting Palhares as an opponent because someone’s coming off knee surgery.

Very cool
I’m happy he’s back. He would give any of the other elite 185ers problems. I think Belcher/Maia sounds great
So, Alan
you’d like us to get your boss/matchmaker to give you a “Big Name” next. I want him to fight a good fighter and see where he is after his lay-off, but I’m gonna trust Mr.Silva to do his job.
Alan’s last 3 fights are wins against Cote (who has lost his last 3), Gouviea (who just lost to Ryan Jimmo in MFC, and has lost 3 in a row also) and a controversial loss to Akiyama (who has dropped his last 2 since).

Yea I agree
They definitely need to run that Akiyama/Belcher fight back. What a great opening bout that was!!!! To echo everyone else’s sentiments, great news about Alan’s eye. I look forward to more Duke Rufus cage sprung strikes now.

Really happy
he was able to recover from that horrific injury. That’s a good story.

what was the injury?

Damn, that's rough
I remember him having to pull out of the fight, just couldn’t remember the nature of the injury. Glad he’s recovered

Fantastic news, I really thought he was done for.
I don’t see why they can’t pick right back up with Maia.
Not like Maia would pose much damage to his eye anyway. Win-win!
If Belcher gets canned, given he loses his next fight--
Does that mean he can’t be @AlanBelcher*UFC* anymore?

I like going to MMA sites and seeing things that make me happy. War Belcher.

but only if he actually trains for it. the leben that showed up for stann should be ashamed to be able to influence people to name their bloodyelbow screen name after him.
from birth to death, its just like this.
wandy
what’s up with everybody calling out Wanderlei all of a sudden? I don’t recall people being that trigger-happy about him 7-10 years ago. I wonder why…
its because people want to have a winnable fight with a big name. Surely Wanderlei isn’t the same fighter he was during the pride days and his fighting career is on the downward spiral.
