My theory is
it’s winter now, and it’s cold as fuck so he’s trying to get as fat as possible to keep warm.
It could be that since he isn't in the top tier organizations, he doesn't feel pressured to make weight.
Aside from Jason High, he’s the only draw on the card…what are the gonna do if he misses weight? Nothing, so why bother getting down to 265 if Wagner’s people don’t care.

The line tightened up a whole lot after that.
Tim went from -650 to -425. Still really wide and he should murderize Abe, but seriously. I almost want to email Tim or ANance and let them know how much money Tim is leaving on the table by not showing up in shape. Hint: He’s missing out a shitload of money by doing this.

I thought his boxing looked great. Wasn’t the most exciting but very technical, I really enjoyed watching it.
I believe some fans aren't ready for good technical Boxing in MMA just yet.

The stoppage was borderline. I believe the ref saved tim a headache cause he was gonna get lit up. I wouldn’t recommend always saving a fighter that early but I could see why he stopped it quick. Lol, Tim looked just awful. Stick to being a cop Tim, you’re done as an mma fighter. What did he expect to happen? He came in completely out of shape and probably didn’t even train. There’s only so long riding the “former ufc heavyweight champion” will work Tim. The saddest part is that if he trained really hard, switched camps and came in around 250-265 he would still be very relevant.
I suppose there is no reason to make excuses. But Tim took this fight to sub in for Todd Duffee despite having a new born boy. It wasn’t the best time for him.
Maybe he could just be in shape year-round?
Seeing how he’s a professional fighter and everything.

Tim couldn’t make 250lbs, he’s always cut a lot of weight to make 265lbs. The dude is bigger than Brock Lesnar.
Hence why I said 250-265, meaning anywhere in between. And I KNOW he can and should make 265. You think that 311 pound body is what an athlete should look like? He was flabby as hell and could definitely make 265 if he made a big enough effort. This is his job. That Tim last night was 100% unacceptable.
It’ll be funny to hear the few people who think that Tim shouldn’t have taken the monster check that went with Fedor talk about this in the future. Here’s a guy who couldn’t keep his focus on long enough to compete with Ray Mercer or Abe Wagner in regional MMA shows. Obviously the smart move for him was to take the single giant payday, because literally anyone in the UFC, even in the talent berift days of 2008, could have bodied him up like this.

It was another week of mixed results for fighters selected in the World MMA Scouting Report. #2 Featherweight Taiki Tsuchiya was knocked out by Shooto stalwart and former Champion "Lion" Takeshi Inoue at Shooto Tradition 2011 in Japan. Meanwhile, #6 Lightweight Reza Madadi came away with a controversial decision victory over UFC regular Rich Clementi in what turned out to be a bitterly contested title fight in Madadi's home country of Sweden. During the staredown at the weigh-ins, Clementi responded to an overly aggressive Madadi with a hard headbutt attempt that thankfully missed it's target.
