UFC Fight for the Troops 2 Results: Mark Hominick Stops George Roop

Mark Hominick used far superior striking technique and power to blast George Roop and force a first round stoppage at UFC Fight for the Troops 2

caught Geroge Roop with a hard hard straight right and dropped him in the first minute. Roop had tried to use his reach early but Hominick hit him hard and often to force a stop.

After the ref stopped the action following a Hominick combination that first dropped Roop and then led to a follow up battery on the ground. The ref was a little slow in stopping the action and then walked away from a staggered Roop. This led to a vintage Joe Rogan outraged tirade and rightfully so.

Hominick is on a five fight winning streak and is in line for a title shot against the UFC's first featherweight champion, Jose Aldo.
