Today on "MMA Nation" we're going to recap what happened at last night's thrilling UFC 125: Gray Maynard vs. Frankie Edgar event. How do you feel the 3rd fight will go? I personally feel like Edgar will win it pretty decisively. I think last night was Gray’s golden opportunity and he couldn’t seize it. After seeing how Frankie dominated BJ in the rematch, I think Gray will suffer the same fate.

do u think there is still any merit in saying that melendez and alvarez are the top lws?
i personally think edgar and maynard pretty much silenced any critics to the fact that they are the top fighters at 155 with maynards display of power and a much more well rounded game and edgar with his chin heart and improved wrestling

Did we the last of Brandon Vera in the UFC and was that not the most embarrassing last round in recent memory for a UFC fighter? Silva slapping Vera and breaking his nose while Vera just took the damage without any sign of reversing his position. Vera has to at the top of the list of wasted talent.

Err, there have been plenty of UFC title fights that ended in a draw Luke. Uno vs. Penn 2 went to a draw, and several title fights in the early years went to draws (Gracie vs. Shamrock 2, Shamrock vs. Taktarov).

Luke, could you talk about Chris Leben and the potential that he has some serious brain damage? If you go back and watch Leben on that first season of TUF, and now listen to him 5 years later, his voice is much more gravely and he’s much harder to understand.

I would be interested to hear about the featherweight division a little.
Snowden’s article from earlier lined up with some things I was thinking, and I can’t but think that the next time the rankings are done, a majority of the top ten fighters may be in Japanese promotions.

Do you believe that Antonio Mckee will be cut due to his lackluster performance the way Gerald Harris was cut?
Brandon Vera never recovered from being undeservedly crowned as The Next Big Thing after beating a bunch of guys who made up one of the weakest HW divisions ever.

I never experianced this racism you speak of, Luke. There does seem to be a bias against Japanese fighters, but that’s it. Rampage’s biggest fanbase is white. Shogun, BJ Penn, shit the Diaz brothers, those guys have a big white fanbase’s too.
