This isn't carwin
this is an older clip of bader. (accidental wrong link?)
Werdum beat Fedor, Dos Santos beat Werdum, Joaquim Ferreira beat Dos Santos. Therefore Ferreira is WAAAAY better than Fedor. Keep MMA math alive!
Shane Carwin
is the uncrowned HW champ. He landed way more unanswered shots on Brock than Cain did, and if / when he fights Cain, he’ll knock him out in the 1st round.
2011- Shane Carwin wins the HW strap.

Shane totally deserves a title shot. I agree, but I’m not sure would would win if he fought Velasquez. I’d say the fight would end in the2nd round though, no way they’d take past that.

Is there a firm or semi-firm date for the Lesnar - JDS fight?

From whoever he fights for it, but I don’t see Brock or JDS being able to beat Cain. Brock’s stand up is horrible and neither guy can out wrestle Cain. Carwin is the only other HW in the division with a good combinaton of wrestling and striking. I think it will be his size and power that makes the difference if he fights Cain. Cain has never been hit by a guy like Carwin, and Mir will tell you, it’s no joke.

People were saying the same thing before the Brock fight. I think Cain puts him down and finishes him off somewhere around the second round.

I don't think Carwin
will be able to even get a shot at the title in 2011. Maybe 2012 if he gets a big win or two. Cain is injured and will be out for a long time, then he wll face the Brock/JDS winner. That will likely take us out of 2011

I think if he and Brock fought again
that Shane fights a smarter fight knowing what he does now and likely beats Lesnar pretty easily.
Also think Carwin takes JDS, but Cain is a bad match-up for Shane IMO, unless he foolishly tries to stand in front of him and bang toe-to-toe in which case Cain gets KTFO…

A deserving contender, sure, but uncrowned champ? That seems a little much.
2011- Shane Carwin wins the HW strap.
If he gets his cardio issues tuned up, sure, it’s a strong possibility.

Shane Carwin believes Fedor is a great man
because he believes in dog spelled backwards. I am sorry. He is Father Teresa not an uncrowned anything.

Fedor and Carwin
training together is a pretty interesting combination. I think the both would have a lot to offer each other. Carwin with his size, outstanding wrestling background, dirty boxing would be a great training partner. If Carwin could learn that casting punch and some slick submission technique from Fedor, they could both really improve their games I would think. Great video! Fast fix, must have caught you at the right time.
Everyone is assuming Jones wins this fight but Bader is a heck of a fighter in his own right. Will be a great fight I think. I don’t know if Jones will be able to do all the flashy moves he has done in the past with this step up in competition. I see this one as a toss up so I will pick Bader just because it is the upset.
I do see Franklin taking Griffin though. I think he has better all around technique and is a bit faster. I think Griffin needs to turn it into a brawl and use his strength and size to win. I see Franklin picking him apart and controlling the bout for the decision win. You can never count out Griffin’s heart though. Excited for this year in MMA.

Not sure about you guys
But I thought Carwin came across well in this interview. I also thought him saying he doesn’t always hear about things via his agent LOL-worthy. Boy, don’t we know that.

Agreed
Far more down-to-earth IMO, I thought he came across very well.
Now, if only he were 4-6 years younger…

Carwin posted on The Underground:
Fedor has been a good guy to me. After the Lesnar fight he sent me some very kind words that put things into perspective. He is a great guy and a great fighter.
Fedor´s kind words:
Dear Shane,
Treadmill. Seriously.
Much respect.

Seems like nice guy, but.....
I thought the same thing as soon as I watched the video.
He looks like he lost a lot of muscle. Arms even look small
Would Dana sacrifice Big Nog to get Carwin back on track?
Does he get a late spring tune up against an up and comer, like Madsen?
Where does he go next?
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

I think Dana will go the Big Nog route
