Wait a second…you actually care about Bisping’s health?
"Referees, be sure to step in and stop the fight on time tomorrow, because I might get carried away in the moment and my many punches may end up destroying my opponent." - Tatsuya "CRUSHER" Kawajiri
no one does
maybe thats bispings genius, he has played the heel as well as anyone in history. I can’t think of another fighter i cheer against as hard as bisping. Love him or hate him you tune in to watch.

do you want the "face of UK MMA" walking around a few years from now with signs of brain damage?
(wait, everyone hates Bisping, so don’t answer that)
…but seriously though, that’s not good for the sport.

He's from the North
A lot of Southerner’s wont be able to tell the difference…
World's Strongest Typer©
Headgear is only good for avoiding cuts
Boxing has known for at least a couple of decades that headgear does little in the way of protecting the brain. It’s just there to keep politicians and the Mrs Lovejoys of the world happy.
I don't care about those "studies"
but even if you don’t get cut, getting kicked in the head with headgear feels a lot less painful than getting kicked in the head without…

It may 'feel' less painful
Your brain’s getting rattled around just the same. Just the other guy won’t hurt his foot or hand in the process. Headgear is basically the same as a cop smashing a purp through a phonebook in the interrogation room.
cmon hatred aside hes a fighter he goes in there to fight and entertain us attitudes like that just make you sound ignorant but if your being sarcastic then i lol

I still love how Bisping lands perfectly and it looks like he was wearing a white hat
I’m sure someone’s photoshopped him holding a cane as well.
Nice fun fact
Rivera is my long time family friend’s cousin.
I don’t have the heart to tell her that her cousin has little chance of winning :(
Ya, I could quit now and be a chump mutha fucka, but I'd rather reload and just dump mutha fucka

dude bisping needs demian maia hes ranked the number 4 mw realy i know theres alot of demian nuthuggers here but cmon maia is so overated i know im gonna get so much abuse but i recently discussed hes record with someone and hes best win is chael sonnen how is he number 4?
and i dont even like bisping that much but he easily beats maia jog n jab ftw lol

People like Demian Maia because he’s an articulate and charismatic fighter who brings a level of jiujits wizardry that isn’t often seen in modern Mixed Martial Arts.
On the subject of Chael Sonnen, while he is rather notorious for getting submitted, he’s a very talented and accomplished fighter with convincing wins over Yushin Okami and Nate Marquardt. I’d list Paulo Filho too but that fight was a bizarre mess.
Bisping himself is an excellent fighter who understands how to frustrate opponents and continuously score points with strikes. Akiyama was stifled and practically invited Bisping to hit him hoping to begin a power striking exchange. Whether that will work against a Maia, who has little interest in standing with him and has been improving his wrestling skills, I’m not so sure.
Also it’s the Middleweight division, which has always been a little thinner than adjacent divisions (light heavy, welter), so who else are you going to ranking ahead on him
a very good response im not quite sure who id rank above him but the middleweight dicision is a clusterfuck

I was wondering how other brits felt about him.
i was really shocked when I watched the usa vs england in the ultimate fighter..all the guys were very nice and respectfull I expected them to be like bisping. I had alot of respect for them guys after the season.
what are u talking about? I dont like bisping and it seems like all of england loves him
I was surpised that the other brits on the show were pretty cool guys. I thought maybe a couple would be arrogant like bisping. whats your beef? explain pl.
Well im from scotland,
and i don’t know anyone, either at my (mma)gym or friends that like him, he’s just a dick fullstop, doesn’t matter if your British, American, Canadian, Brazilian, Michael Bisping is just a dick, and not even an entertaining one like Kos!
It truly pains us that Bisping is the so called ‘poster boy’ of the Uk MMA scene!
yahbut who else do we have hardy daley pearson winner hathaway none of them match up bisping’s got skills good tdd and only been beat by rashad, silva and henderson all former champions
by The Evil Dr Pork Chop on Jan 17, 2011 7:49 AM EST up reply actions
I'm Scottish and i think he's a terrific fighter with ever evolving hands, most impressive against miller
and who has shown flashes of defensive brilliance, all aside sure he circled to the right lol omg dan henderson yadda yadda mistakes are mistakes, Chris Leben drunkenly stumbled into A. Silva’s shin and fell over lookin like he just got back from the dentist, shit happens
but he’s hated for the same reason most are,what..rough estimate 80% of fans are fans not competitors also, they want it, he has it
he’s a commodity and a valuable one at that, whether you like him or not
you’re still always gonna find the time to talk about him

Well i dont think your argument about him having it and fans 'wanting it' stands,
i mean theres loads of fighters that i do like, bisping is just a dick, i dont know why but everything about him annoys me!
he has it
the IT factor is having something you can’t quite put your finger on
positive of negative, he has your number buddy

Agreed that we don't really have anyone better
Which is sad really, but the thing is, population wise, uk is a fraction of the size of the US with a fraction of the amount of top coaches, total lack of wrestlers and a tiny amount of half decent BJJ practioners, so its not really a surprise that we dont have a large amount of top fighters coming out of the uk.
Bisping is good but not great, He’s never beaten a 1st class fighter, and i dont think he ever will, Leben arguably, but his fights are usually brawls that could end at any second! He’l get past Rivera, then they’l match him up with a top fighter he’l lose, then decision acouple of average fighters etc etc blah blah blah
exactly
Kang who got cut and has never beaten anybody!
Akyiama who i love but should be 0-3 in his last 3fights!
not everyone hates Bisping..............
clearly I am biased tho..;)
I will always back the Englishman - from Hardy to Daley to Hathaway - because we are an island nation and I am an ex-pat living in California. Lee Murray comes from the same village as me. Where I live now Fabricio Werdum is a neighbor, as is Bruce Buffer. I am also a Diaz fan!
