This is one of those fights that i wouldn’t be surprised if both fighters were cut after regardless of outcome

Damn I wish he was back at ATT for this fight. People like to crap on Hunt but I really really hope he can win this, if he stick Chris on his back he shouldn’t have any probs with sub attempts.
This fight also illustrates the UFC HW division isn’t really any deeper than the SF division.
Food goes in here
Hunt has fights left on his contact from Pride days
That’s how he got to the UFC with such record
"Common sense is not so common"
That explains how he got his first fight,
not why he was kept around for another.

his Pride deal probably says he can't be cut or something like that...

there may be a guarantee locked in for minimum of, say, 3 fights.
but we’d have to see the contract to really know, i’m just speculating.
either way, anyone surprised he never seems to show any ground game?

No ground game?
He almost tapped Fedor with an americana…he’s clearly a submission master!

This is one of them fights I hope we get to see.
I hope it is a quick knockout so that we could see it. I was a big Mark Hunt fan when he was with pride. For the longest time I thought he was asian because the japanese fans loved him so much..lol
The Gonzaga fight was also a bungle
The poor guy’s nuts were completely flattened.

I don’t why he didn’t just refocus back on K-1, even though he got beat my Semmy he could have milked in some easy paydays there.
Food goes in here
Easier to get subbed in 30 secs
than obliterated by Saki or some of these other hyper-violent beasts K-1 would’ve matched him with. If he was just looking for easy paydays he did it the right way.
OHHHHH! OH MY GOODNESS DID YOU SEE THAT?! He ran up the wall like a ninja and landed a high kick! Unbelievable! I've never seen anything like that, it's like something out of a movie!

I agree with this. I am not a fan of Chris “The Crowbar” Tuchscherer, but I am a fan of Hunt. I imagine that “The Crowbar” will take this fight to the ground. It would be cool to see Hunt KO or TKO him though.
I won't jump off the bandwagon just because you lost.

LOL
Hunt was a great fighter but he has too many fights worth of damage. It is funny how DW knocks Lindland for fighting in SF but has Hunt fighting for the UFC. Hunt has lost his last 6 fights and he was finished in ALL of them! At least 4 of which are currently in the SF HW and LHW division. How is this “best in the world”? At least Lindland was 4-3 in his last 7 fights with some quality wins in there. Lindland 22-8 Hunt 5-7 (with a lot of k-1 fights)
Werdum beat Fedor, Dos Santos beat Werdum, Joaquim Ferreira beat Dos Santos. Therefore Ferreira is WAAAAY better than Fedor. Keep MMA math alive!
he is owed fights as part of the PRIDE purchase

He was owed one fight.
Once you’re under a UFC contract, you can be canned after any single loss.

they took his Pride deal
they can’t enforce UFC deal policies when he signed it with Pride…

I’m sure the UFC could have bought out the contract and set him free, but I guess given the choice, they’d rather put a lumpy, shot fighter on their cards. I guess they do get something out of it that way.

Did Hunt actually break his elbow in his last fight?
I swear i heard Rogan say that it was broken…
it was popped or dislocated. it showed in the replay being dislodged from it’s spot due to his refusal to tap.
