how does william howard taft make your top 5 presidents u dont wanna fight? taft was a big fat dude, and while he might present stylisctic problems to a fighter as small as downes how can he be picked over George Washington. Washington was a really big muscular dude and pretty much just a badass. hell i’d probably pick him to come second in a presidential battle royale outside of the maniac who was Andrew Jackson
zachary taylor is the little known president though who would totally kick your ass, a 40 year military career and the nickname “old rough and ready” would make me wanna just pick a fight with FDR and jimmy carter

Long, strong, and wrestling was his favorite pastime as a child. I’d stay away from the dirty fighting crack shot that was Andrew Jackson in a gunfight, don’t know how he’d fare without a pistol. TR, of course, is one of the earliest american MMA enthusiasts. He might be my top seed.

jackson was just a crazy gritty dude, i mean his biggest military victory came in a war that was officially over. he’d be fighting like pride era wanderlei out there
and lincoln vs washington would be a battle for the ages i forgot about lincolns wrestling backround and the staredown would be totally epic

Downes may be referring to the weight class difference between himself & Taft.
Taft would totally be in Butterbean or Bob Sapp’s weight class.

As the money involved went up,
many if not most fighters have become far more selective in who they will fight. Most of them just keep it quiet when they decline a bout, rather than publicizing it…

Regardless of what happened in Guida and Florian’s most recent fights there is no doubt that Florian is a superior fighter.
There is also no doubt,
at least in my mind, that Roufus knows Florian would be a far tougher fight for Showtime than Guida, so it is not surprising…
