well
Lentz shouldn’t be able to use his wrestling to force this one to a stall. Could actually be a fun match.

was thinking the same thing. Joe Silva now knows that Lentz can only be matched up against superior wrestlers or the fight will be boring as shit. I’m hoping this resembles Edgar – Griffin, an all time great fight.

Hopefully, all the people who claimed Winner had nothing to do with that fight being boring watch this one. I expect this fight will be a typical wrestler versus wrestler high-paced scramblefest.
It takes two to make a boring fight.

Hahahahaha!! Take that Lentz.
Put people to sleep in a nationally televised fight and they make you pay. Good luck blanketing Griffin.
Ugh
I honestly think Griffin should consider WEC but yeah he’ll beat Lentz easily.
Mo Johnston is what John Schneider could be in 4 years.
Its too bad about that. Who doesn’t think Griffin would be a monster at 145?

I’ve never thought he was too small for 155. What fight made you think that?

Lentz prolly has better stand up
but griffin is going to be the better wrestler which will give him the edge
Lentz has nowhere near his level of standup.
And then God created Saturn... and he liked it, so he put a ring on it.

Tyson is coming off two losses and will be looking to make a statement
I hope he beats Lentz after that horrible 118 performance.
Complain about Fitch and Maynard all you want but at least they complete the takedowns and do damage. As opposed to just neutralizing your opponent against the cage.

Lentz makes top five UFC list....
top 5 worst fights ever. I hope Tyson does to Lentz what I wanted to do to him while watching his UFC 118 fight. Woop that ass!
The only difference is Griffin actually has a decent chance of doing it, while you would get killed in seconds.

He’s 150 and a pro fighter. Respect. But I’m 240 and in good shape. I did wrestling for all of High School and I was pretty solid at it. Size plays a big part in wrestling. Some of my freinds are pro fighters and others working their way up. They could teach me enough to get by while I use my size to wear him out with my wrestling. He would win most of the time but I would have a solid chance.

Don’t start that, you’ll get Anton all riled up aboot Couture/Vera again.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
If an englishman can defend your takedown, you are going to be in trouble against the higher level guys at 155.
Its only going to get harder as he progresses and I doubt his striking or subs will be enough to save him.

the very fact that he chose to wrestle meant he won (see Couture-Vera).
Chael Sonnen: Last time I defeated the myth, this time I'll defeat the man.
So...hyped...
I am still confused on this
Machida vs Shogun 1 = Machida defended Shoguns takedowns and was seen as the successful grappler.
Couture-Vera = Randy pinned Vera against the cage but couldn’t get or keep Vera down, and was seen as the successful grappler.
Which one is correct? Does neutralizing your opponent make you the aggressor or does stopping the takedown = effective grappling?

Neither is effective grappling. You have to stop looking for consistency among judges – they’re fucking stupid.
"You hear people say, 'You're the greatest,' and all this stuff. It's BS. It's fake, it's all fake. You've just got to keep training as hard as you can. The only thing real is the fight, everything else is fake." - BJ Penn
So the way I have 123 right now is
Definitely televised:
Rampage-Machida
Lauzon-Sotiropoulos
Definitely preliminary:
Ruediger-Kelly
In Limbo:
Parisyan-Hallman
Griffin-Lentz
Brown-MacDonald
Davis-Boetsch
About right?
Here's hoping that
Davis-Boetsch and Griffin-Lentz make the television cut…

This is either Tyson’s bounce back fight or his swan song, he’s been a huge disapointment since he’s become obssessed with striking and losing to Lentz will be the end of his UFC career.

Yeah, I was saying that if Griffin lost another fight, he wouldn’t be out of the UFC. But if it’s against Lentz … well, yeah, he’s done.
He won’t lose, though.
