this is a pretty solid card
I can’t help but root for McKee, I’d still like to see him in the UFC/Strikeforce/DREAM/Sengoku before his career is done.

Yeah
I’d love to see him vs Maynard or Fitch.
Not because it would be a good fight. But rather, so that when we will see a boring fight, we could always say “At least it’s not as bad as McKee vs Maynard/Fitch”.
He would work Gray Maynard
McKee could be top 5 in the UFC. I only see BJ and Edgar outright beating him.
He’s THAT good at what he does.

Maynard would kill Antonio
Gray is better than McKee at McKee’s one and only strength as a fighter, and is much more dangerous in the standup and submission grappling department.
I don't think so
I can’t recall McKee ever being taken down or really in any danger in a long time.

Hear, hear!
Antonio “The Elderly” McKee, who hasn’t finished an opponent since Moses was in second grade (against piss poor competition), would be annihilated by any top fighter in the UFC.
Lack of great opponents has nothing to do with skills
He has the skills to be a top 5 UFC LW.

Tom "Kong" Watson has 2 fights in 2 weeks
There’s this one, and then there’s the one against Alex Reid in a couple of weeks. Alex Reid, despite losing to Dean Amasinger in the opening round of TUF 9, has become the most famous MMA fighter in the UK because of his relationship with glamour model Katie Price, and winning Celebrity Big Brother. To give an indication of how nutty the tabloid newspapers and magazines are, Reid is more famous in the UK then Kimbo Slice and Gina Carrano combined at their peak in the USA.
Watson shouldn’t have any problem beating Reid, however having a fight against Jesse Taylor 2 weeks earlier is risky. A win against Reid does far more for Watson’s profile in the mainstream UK coverage, then a win over Jesse Taylor does even in MMA specific outlets.
So it's on again?
I thought he only booked the fight in the first place so he could say “No, MMA fighter” instead of “C-list celebrity” when a gameshow host introduces him as a ‘cagefighter’.
Yeah its very strange timing. Especially since he slagged Reid off for pulling out of the first fight. If he gets injured at all against Taylor surely the Reid fight is off? I know there’s no AC in the UK but even a cut could stop him from fighting.

I'm not really sure what to make of this
Before reading this post, I hadn’t a clue that Watson was fighting anywhere else other than the BAMMA 4 show on September 25… this throws some serious doubt on what’s going to happen on that card.
BAMMA have been promoting the show as “Reid vs. Watson”; I wonder if they have a backup plan
a) Watson wins at MFC, but refuses to fight (per comments made)
b) Watson gets injured and is unable to fight
I’m guessing that Watson won’t go down route A. as ducking Reid would cause some ridicule for him – though it is plausible all the same. If I were in BAMMA, I’d be seriously concerned about B., though, and I’d have another opponent waiting in the wings should this happen.

Luciano Azevedo is a fucking pimp...
…and McKee might beat him, but he sure as hell ain’t finishing him.
Antonio McKee said triangles are for beginners
So he isn’t getting caught in one.

Which explains why...
… BJJ beginners Wagnney Fabiano and Travis Lutter were submitted with triangles. ;)

While I think Pavelich (sp) is a douche, he puts on some pretty good cards and this one is no exception.
WAR LIMA!
God I hope he wins. History has not been kind to GA natives in the MFC. We are 0-1. Although Douglas is a better fighter than Dave Mewborn.

Watching this and rooting HEAVY for McKee
I want Strikeforce to pick him up. He’d work Melendez something awful.
