UFC 124 Preview: Georges St. Pierre Wants to Twist His Knuckle on Josh Koscheck's Head
"I believe a lot of the guys try to take me off track. They do that, because I do believe skill wise and technically I'm the best fighter in the world. They want to take me off track. They want me to fight with my anger and not with my head and my heart. I'm not going to do that mistake."
"Of course a guy like that (Josh Koscheck), that trash talks, says I'm a frenchie. It just puts extra motivation for me to twist my knuckle on his head when I hit him."

Win Dan Hardy - Decision (Unanimous) UFC 111
Win Thiago Alves - Decision (Unanimous) UFC 100

Hey Nate, would just calling him frenchie earn Koscheck a ban for fighter-bashing?
And if so, what about Chael’s blatant manager-bashing?
I love me some me.

Lets be honest here, punching isnt a part of St Pierres arsenal in a title match perhaps he meant he was going to take him down hold him there and give him nuggies until he grinds out the decission
So when he did this to a guy many (at the time) said had the best hands in MMA...

..that didn’t do anything for you, huh?

Well, technically...
He’s from…Eh, this isn’t the place.
no, you have
to give him credit, Clark Kent is American, however the whole thing was created by a Canadian, so does that by proxy make superman Canadian too?
Pow!
Right in the kisser.

Family Guy used it because it’s a classic line from the Honeymooners. I even remember hearing it in a Pinky and the Brain episode way back…

Nothing you see in family guy is original, it's a patchwork quilt of references
Sort of like Coheed and Cambria
Thank God GSP never finished Fitch
So many glorious highlights in that fight.
And war Fitch, even though it’s hard to objectively counter the lay and pray accusations. He’s just such an affable guy that brings so much heart in to the ring. Such a good sport, too, coming to the post fight presser after getting his ass so thoroughly beat. It’s amazing to think that if GSP never existed, Fitch would be almost unbeatable and have a 13-fight win streak.
This is the fight that made me a Fitch fan
Anyone else who took a beating as bad as he did would have thrown in the towel or been TKO’d. He hung in there the whole time. One of his most admirable performances.

Even though nobody sees it, it feels good.
Yup, just more grinding away in title fights:

Late stoppage?
C’mon, son. Three and a half knee strikes to the ribs is a perfectly fine ref stoppage IMO.
Get rid of the ramp!
is that a technique?
seriously. Does twisting your fist on impact increase your chance of opening up a cut or something?
thx for the info
I wonder if this is what the Diaz brothers are trying to do with some of their funky punches
I don’t think so, the corkscrew uses the shoulder and the body to add momentum. I think you’ll need to google this one for more accurate info.

I know you can use it on the body too (to the plexus), but I can’t seem to find a video about it.
