Amazing Fedor news or little known fact?

Around the 1:00 minute mark of the above link, Fedor talks on the phone with "Miro". He speaks in English. In my opinion he speaks with a relativly good accent too. At the end of the video, he speaks with Mark Coleman as well.

Could you imagine Fedor having a heart to heart inteview with Rogan or Helwani telling us how the mob had him legally bound to keep his mouth shut and do as they say?

He also hands over the phone and says he can’t understand the person. I think his English is fairly limited. I think he can understand a lot of basic questions that he’s probably answered 100s of times.

I wonder..

… if Randleman and Fedor ever went out drinking together. Would love to see the footage from that!

Fighting is actually the best thing a man can have in his soul.

They actually did

After Fedor fought Randleman they went out for some drinks and Randleman actually had to help a drunk Fedor get home lol.

seriously...

Imagine walking into a bar and seeing a drunk Randleman and Fedor. Most people would be scared shitless of Randleman, little would they know his pudgy drunk Russian friend was the most Dangerous man in the world lol

The Russian Anderson Silva?

Or is Anderson the Brazilian Fedor in that regard…

Bingo.

Those were exactly my thoughts when I stumbled upon the OLD video. The word “news” in my OP might not have been the most appropriate. = )

I can't tell if this is a troll..

He just says thank you over and over again. And “Sorry, I don’t understand” is the first thing anyone learns in English.

Same way that most people in the world know “no hablo ingles” or “no hablo espanol.”

Comprende?

I would say this amazing news

it’s a pretty old video.

Josh Barnett is a thrice proven juicer with a pro wrestling mindset and a personality that would lead you to believe he's never had a romantic encounter that didn’t start with "you gotta pay me upfront."

I’ve seen that video a couple times, and I know I shouldn’t laugh at Coleman… but I always do. Especially juxtaposed with Fedor’s “hey, isn’t it a nice day?” expression.

"You hear people say, 'You're the greatest,' and all this stuff. It's BS. It's fake, it's all fake. You've just got to keep training as hard as you can. The only thing real is the fight, everything else is fake." - BJ Penn

I have no idea what you’re talking about. He obviously doesn’t know anything beyond very basic English.

I want Kim Winslow or Tan Dan to ref Tito Ortiz' next loss.

Even if he understands most English

Many people who can read/understand a second language aren’t comfortable speaking it.

Hello, Thank You Very Much and I Don't Understand.

Wow sounds like he really put one over on us for years. Seriously though, those are THE very first terms you learn at the Y, when you’re learning English. Along with, “Where is the bathroom?”, 1-10 and several assorted curse words. I can actually say those very terms, with pretty good pronunciation I’ve been told, in at least 2 languages other than English and German. But it doesn’t mean I can speak the language fluently enough to have a conversation.

He says “Hello”, “Thank you”, “Thank you very much” and “I don’t understand sorry”.

I imagine he must have took a crash course in advanced English just prior to this event.

We are One.

Perhaps too self conscious to converse...

But it seems to me like he understands Coleman & Randleman very well. He was getting what Miro (The guy on phone) was saying and only at the end did he say he didint understand. I say I dont understand in phone calls all the time cause of noise, slurring, talking to fast etc etc etc.

I think Fedor can more than defend himself with the language.

Coleman is angry at himself and heartbroken. It’s not necessarily ‘roid rage, it’s the fact that a lot of people who get into the fight business are a little on the intense or unstable side to begin with.

Anyone else waiting for someone to hit coleman in the back with a chair or run him down with a limo in the beginning of the clip? It seems like something on every WWE show.

Althought I do realize that Coleman was actually upset, and this is not fake wrestling…
