UFC Fight Night 22 Preview: Nate Marquardt Talks Rousimar Palhares and Chael Sonnen

"I've heard that, that (Rousimar Palhares) holds on to stuff too long, but I don't really care about that. When I go to fight, I fully expect guys to do whatever they can to win, and if that means them trying to cheat or whatever, you have to be ready for that. You have to protect yourself at all times and that means even from things that are illegal. I'm going to come prepared and I'm going to do my best to stay out of any kind of submission hold so that issue won't even come up."
"I guess I'm still not over the (loss to Chael Sonnen) heartbreak or whatever. It still bothers me, but I'm definitely looking forward to my next fight and I feel I've learned my lessons from that fight. I expect to go into this fight and execute my game plan, and I think that's one of the biggest mistakes that I made against Chael."
"If you fight a wrestler the wrong way, it's very easy to get taken down, and I think that's what happened. My takedown defense is much better than I showed, and I will be able to prove that in my next fight here."

Nate Marquardt not exactly driving the hits, eh?
Better post that new story about Fedor ambushing Dana White on the 405 freeway.
In all seriousness, Marquardt should have this as long as he doesn’t get put on the mat. Is Toquinho bigger than Marquardt? They both seem huge for 185. I would, however, love to see a Sonnen/Palhares fight down the road.
"I talked about retirement a little bit, but told them I'd be the same ol' grumpy, pissed off guy." --Bobby Cox
it's really a misconception Marquadt is a big 185
he has a big frame but walks around under 200
I’m thinking big upset for this fight. Paul Harris is a beast and will be able to take Nate down at will, and he will have the ability on the floor to finish that Chael didnt have
I’ve got big walnuts. Gorilla nuts.
